On Tuesday, 7 April 2015, in Bainsvlei, Bloemfontein, 15-year-old Noeline Koekemoer was raped and brutally murdered in her own bedroom on a smallholding. This was pure evil; a vulnerable teenager violated and slaughtered in the one place she should have been safe, her home. Police confirmed the rape and murder, and the investigation led to the arrest of Moses Maoka. He was later convicted on charges including murder, rape, and house robbery with intent to steal. He received two life sentences for his monstrous crimes.

Noeline was someone's beloved daughter who deserved a future, not this barbaric end.

Rotherham. A small town in northern England.
