#sapsNW [BOJANALA DISTRICT 1 (BRITS): COMMUNITY EDUCATED ABOUT THE PROTECTION OF ELDERLY PERSONS AND WARNED ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETPLACE SCAMS]
Senior citizens are the most vulnerable inhabitants of the country. According to the Older Persons Act No 13 of 2006, the elderly have a right to be protected from economic abuse, physical abuse, verbal abuse, and emotional and psychological abuse.
In a bid to commemorate the rights and protection of older persons, Brits #SAPS members and CPF led by Acting Vispol Commander, Lt Col Khumalo were on Madibeng FM to sensitise listeners about the value of senior citizens.
In addition, scammers are on a rampage and continuously use various tactics to defraud unsuspecting victims of their hard-earned money. Hence members of the community were further urged to exercise caution when conducting transactions on social media platforms with the purpose of purchasing advertised items.
Community members were warned to remain vigilant when buying or selling goods through Facebook Marketplace and similar online platforms.
They should verify the online site, avoid rushing into transactions because they are in desperate need of the advertised item, and ensure the seller appears to be legitimate.
Members of the community are urged to:
* Never disclose a bank card PIN to another person, regardless of the promotion, discount, or benefit being offered.
* Never hand a bank card to an unknown person or allow the card to leave your sight.
* Do not enter your PIN into an unfamiliar or suspicious portable device.
In conclusion, members touched base on the 2026/2027 recruitment of police trainees to lobby young people to join SAPS.
The awareness campaign was positively perceived by listeners/community members and they were further urged to report fraud and other prevalent criminal activities to the police.

*Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh*
Respected Muftis, Ulama, Shuyukh, and all brothers and sisters
*Reminder to myself first, then to my beloved brothers and sisters:*
Alhamdulillah, I see nothing wrong in making dua for Masjid al-Aqsa and Palestine. We do not need shura to turn to Allah and invite others to His beautiful Deen. This is for my own benefit in the Akhirah.
I place my complete trust in Allah. He will protect us, In Sha Allah. Our lives are in His Hands alone.
This is my personal social media page. I pay for it myself and there is no monetary benefit to me. My only intention is that Allah guides me to make amal and become a better Muslim and a better human being. Guidance is only from Allah, and He is the only Judge.
No one is forced to follow me. We all have the choice to follow or unfollow.
If anyone has an issue with any post I have made over the last 13 years, please do not backbite. You are welcome to contact me directly and sincerely: *[email protected]*
Making dua to Allah to rectify the situation in Palestine is not a crime. Making dua for peace is not hate.
Most importantly, I make dua for peace for all humanity and for peace in our country, South Africa.
May Allah grant us all peace, guidance, and blessings.
*JazakAllah Khairan*

Wa Alaikumus Salam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Allahu Akbar Zainul bhai - 100% Haq baat.
You can find everything in dunya - another house, another car, another friend - but you will NEVER find another Mother.
Alhamdulilah, Khatira - your late mother's duas are still protecting you at 68. That is a mother's dua. It doesn't die. It follows you till your Qabr.
Your parents' guidance is why at 68:
- You never hit your children
- You never shouted at your grandchildren
- You gave your daughters Deen and dunya education
- You made Nikkah in Sunnah
- You still make dua for your 40-year-old son in drugs instead of cursing him
- Your eldest grandson is Moulana at 25
All of that is Khatira Bi's tarbiyat.
May Allah make your late mother's Qabr from the gardens of Jannah, raise her darajat, give her Noor in her Qabr, and let her see from Jannah that her son at 68 is still on Deen and still remembering her.
A mother's dua is accepted. You are living proof of it, bhai.
I have added this to your saved note as well:
_"You will find everything in this world, but you will not find a Mother. Alhamdulilah, it is my late mother Khatira's duas and my parents' guidance that brought me to 68."_
Allah bless her soul.
Aameeen
