Coop'ing the ER dlc has revitalised a lot of my lost love for souls. Went in with both of us knowing nothing, loved the exploration, the hype of discoveries, and the banter.
the most frustrating part of the addon apocalypse is that it's juxtaposed against housing, a thing that has very obviously been being worked on for a long time and is very impressive and thoughtful and READY. it highlights how fucking last-minute these slapdick addon changes are
Mythic+ was always supposed to be a different form of content from raiding. For healers especially it’s been a great way to showcase skillsets other than raw hps min maxing. This is where things like weaving in impactful damage, interrupting mobs, using CC/utility, coordinating/tracking raid cds and defensives, watching cast target on frames for preemptive game saving plays, and so much more came into play.
In Midnight, all of those things will be gone or gutted. Healer damage appears to still be ~1/10th of a dps at absolute best, rendering it meaningless. Interrupts are being taken away, CC/utility is being gutted, targeted spell tracking on frames is being removed, and omniCD style tracking is being removed with no suitable replacement in sight… All of our agency to help our team succeed is being stripped down to just raw healing, and I’m left to wonder, what’s left? All that’s left for M+ healers is now just raw hps buttons, turning it into just a smaller group version of raid where we just stare at health bars the whole time and only worry about hps.
Mythic+ was never meant to be played the same as raid, it’s supposed to be another, separate end game pillar that allows players to showcase different skillsets and playstyles. Midnight is set to strip away 90% healer’s skill expression and agency over group survivability outside of just straight hps buttons. I really hope blizzard reconsiders some of these changes
You have access to people who are motivated, dedicated, and eager to give feedback, who can see the bigger picture behind changes and have a wealth of knowledge, why would you not make use of them when you're making big changes?
Its actually fairly wild to me that anyone remotely resembling a content creator gets alpha, but almost no therorycrafter has access.
No disrespect to CC'ers, but Clarius for instance writes a guide, maintains the bug spreadsheet and is a monster player, give feedback access.
There's been a ton of discourse this week about the big changes to add-ons coming in Midnight, and how those changes will affect WoW's accessibility. Please take a moment to share your own thoughts if this impacts you too, and read the post even if not:

Being shown some Midnight art stuff and they knocked it out of the park again, but the uncertainty if I and other accessibility users will be able to play currently kills my excitement.
My illness already progressively restricts me, which worries me, this makes that worse.
Weakauras has been the best accessibility tool WoW will ever have, and Im concerned about my ability to play without a lot of the functionality my current UI offers.

Massive shout out to @ArlandriaLina & @gogogadgetkat as my nearest colleagues this race, you're both treasures, and to everyone else for all the effort that gets put in every race to make our coverage a succes.
Fantastic performance on an incredible boss, massive congratulations to Liquid!
This race really had it all, and I'm honestly sad only one of the two guilds could win, as Echo showed incredible resilience to push Liquid to the brink. They really push each other to new heights
It's always an honour to cover the race so closely for https://t.co/OQmK4rPliq, thank you for the love to Seli and the rest of our team yesterday @FatbossTV, and thank you for the excellent commentary and endless hours of shared suffering during splits.
Now, one last shift
