@Electrarythm Is it really that simple? Do we not have to accept and integrate our shadow aspects first?
I feel insincere when trying to "adopt" other states.
Sacha Baron Cohen invented a completely false Kazakhstan of dog-shooting festivals, horse-urine wine, buying wives with insecticide, and a hometown full of rapists and prostitutes and MORE.
The “Kazakh village” scenes were filmed in a real Romanian village after the residents were told it was a documentary about POVERTY. They were paid a few dollars a day. When they saw the finished film they sued for $30 million over the deception and humiliation.
Kazakhstan’s government shut down his website, blocked distribution, and spent millions on campaigns just to fight an image that had nothing to do with reality.
Sony is now financing his return.
@CEOLandshark Fear when doing inner work; experimenting and not making the progress I want. I want to exalt myself and the realization of how much energy I waste being how I am scares me
When you started, did you commit to one modality (specific meditation, bodywork) or did you experiment?
@MacDoniel@CEOLandshark I think a lot of my drive for success came from craving. I just don't need as strongly to prove myself anymore. Do you intellectually find what you should do with your life or do you acquire more paññā and then discover the path when sankharas stop blocking your view?
Hitting your kids is in the same category as circumcision, iPads, strict adherence to the CDC vaccine schedule---it is for Ns, goyim, and walmart pajama people. It lowers IQ (Straus, 1995), increases aggression (Gershoff, 2016), is less effective than a timeout, and requires escalation to keep working. The replies to articles like this are filled up with the Dumbest People Who Ever Existed saying "it worked for me" and then genuinely malicious and hateful morons dropping reaction gifs of like daffy duck swinging a belt
"EVERY STATE IN AMERICA ALLOWS YOU TO PHYSICALLY CORRECT YOUR CHILD. It's legal. It's fun. Bring it on." -- profile says: Cat Sanctuary Dad. Unyielding steel. Workouts, keto, cat chaos, anime rants. Godzilla, Gundam, Mazinger, Ultraman, classical art, manga.
If you hit your kids, you will create permanent emotional distance with the only person/people you could ever be that close to, not to mention sending them down the road of being as much of a lost fuckup loser as you are who will hit their own kids, or wont, but only after spending a decade figuring out why they reflexively apologize all the time.
@CEOLandshark Do you think that therapy or other such "mindset work" is useful, if a person already has awareness?
Is it possible to change negative core beliefs (e.g. I need success to be worthy of compassion) by working on your inner monologue or you're limited by your character armour?
This is Baby Harriet.
She was found in a medical waste bin.
4 years ago today.
Baby Harriett was one of five nearly full-term babies discovered outside of the infamous Washington-Surgi clinic in D.C.
She had an incision on the back of her neck—
Indicating she may have been killed by a FEDERALLY BANNED late-term abortion.
Even after 4 years, there has been no investigation into the potential crimes committed against these babies.
This is egregious.
We MUST demand #JusticeForTheFive.
Louis theroux e-man gifter documentary review
Honestly it's pretty good, and there is some therouxkino in there. Genuine kudos to Louis for leaving the final bit where the mom of an e-man gifter confronts him at the end, saying "who are you to say, you are doing the exact thing they are", I honestly respect him for leaving that in, because that is the only thing that's really worth saying about it all. The docementary is ultimately slop, in the same ways the subjects are producing slob. Louis makes tittilating voyeuristic shock slob, the e-men makes the same thing for dumber, more criminal and low attention span audiences. It could have been worthwhile, but fails in the final calculation, because of a single flaw: Louis partake and indulges in the same wrestling persona fear mongering that the e-men do, in that the movie portrays this whole thing as a potentially dangerous cultural movement that actually exists and matters, and plays to the audiences preconceived notions of "oh no the teenage boys are watching Andrew tate and it is ruining society". In the same way the losers are creating an illusion that they have influence, to grift money, Louis is cooperating on the illusion that they have influence, to make money. And it is all professional wrestling. Had he avoided this and just slightly tilted the angle of the documentary, and not played into the fear mongering for clicks and cash, it would have been worthwhile and worth recommending, but as is, it's just wrestling/slop/porn that equally guilty of the same sins it's subjects are. If these men are guilty (they are), so is Louis (he is). So again kudos for leaving that bit in at the end, but even so, the average popcorn munching Netflix audience is not going to get there themselves, and if you really wanted to be a force for good in the world you could have just cut the segments about "ooh noo scary Internet influencers are making teenage boys misbehave in schools", and you'd have a much cleaner and more effective product
@theralkia Ofc, some people are less repressed than others and will find relief faster.
What are the other factors? Intentionality and consistency of your "undoing" exercises I suppose.
I have been spamming so much meditation and bodywork, trying to accelerate it.
