disrespectful as fuck to bts and i can only hope that they recognize other genuinely deserving pop acts across asia (and not just east asia) instead of making it a pseudo-kpop category
like most latin music has stylistic influence from traditional latin music so recognizing that in its own category makes more sense to me. not to say that asian music doesn’t have that as well, but not kpop, which is that the category is clearly targeting
this feels so weird idk. it’s obviously intentional so that bts isn’t nominated in the main categories (though the songs they have been nominated for wouldn’t qualify in this category) but also i think the latin categories have similar requirements. but latin music is different
my entire section was hyped af and knew the words to every song but there were many times we were shocked into silence because of how fucking good she sounded 🤷🏽♀️
yeah so i was singing along until she started hitting those notes and then my jaw dropped and i was silent and gagged for the rest of the song. some of us want to hear ariana’s vocals and not the crowd
