Cassana was truly satisfied with her routines —— the way she starts each day is fool proof ; a review of her schedule for the day, have her assistant fill her in on what she might have missed, check her phone for possible messages from her grandchildren ( she’d say
bucketlist, as one would call it , cassana could only place a hand a top her chest and smile. it is as if she’s catching up to a lifetime of * wants buried to accommodate the needs of others.
when lunch does come, there’s a specific sparkle to her smile as she makes
kind of warmth and affection —— a son and a mother ought to share.
For now, however, her son will receive a ‘thank you’ when they come across each other.
And, as usual, the note that she receives every year from Stannis goes into a well-kept box. Hidden from view inside the drawer in her study. Years and years worth of notes ——— maybe in due time, maybe in a few more years, the amount of identical notes will sum up into some
the nameplate earns the spot of honor in her study desk; front and center. She snaps a picture and sends it to Rhaenys.

Having forgotten one’s nameday meant that there were no expectations attached to it in the first place —— yet, with Rhaenys’ gift, Cassana was led to think. With the shine of the silver reflecting back to her, a title that almost felt foreign ——— Cassana but smiles,
