This is one of the TOP reasons I’m seeing burnout in many people my age. We are often not taken seriously, despite many of us having a decent amount of experience and schooling, and often times our superiors will take the words of customers/guests over us. It’s tiring.

PSA: if you are participating in the service industry (events, food and bev, lodging, etc.) and you come into contact with a young professional in a management position and you assume they don’t know what they’re doing because they’re young? You’re the worst kind of person.
