I have a boyfriend. He works a 9-5, so he sleeps on a regular schedule. He signed off our conversation tonight by saying, "I know you're going to stay up all night writing, so feel free to use my text message inbox as a journal. I want to know what goes on in your mind at night.”
I love seeing women brag on what their thoughtful men do for them! Love to see the spoiling, the kindness, the love men shower their women with. It's refreshing amongst the negativity.
I just saw a man open the car door for his wife and she smiled like it happens every day. It made me realise… romance isn’t roses. It’s consistency. It’s being cared for without having to ask.
My coworker used to take the long way home every night. Two extra bus stops, more walking, more money, more time. One day I asked her why she didn’t just take the shortcut alley behind our building.
She laughed and said, “Oh, because a guy followed me there once and told me he could ‘do whatever he wanted’ and no one would hear me scream.”
So now, every night, she calls a male friend and pretends she’s on the phone with her “boyfriend.” Sometimes she even laughs loudly and says things like, “Yeah, I’ll see you in five minutes, babe,” even when she’s completely alone.
Not because she wants attention.
Not because she’s dramatic.
Because sounding “taken” and “protected” is safer than sounding like a woman by herself.
Men cannot even begin to understand the calculations women make every day just to get home alive.
If she tells you she likes flowers, she doesn’t mean she wants flowers right now. What she’s really telling you is: remember it, and one random day, for no reason, give her some because you felt like it.
It's having heart-to-hearts, staying up all night talking, sharing childhood memories, thoughts, fears, dreams & hopes for the future. It's uncontrollable laughter, direct eye contact and feeling each other without touching - it's exchanging energy.
I’m sorry but 2-3 months is long enough to feel a vibe from someone and figure out what you want. That time is even too generous. If you have to do “talking stage” for centuries then you need to work on your spirit of discernment and leave people’s children alone…respectfully’
I texted him, “How was your day today?” and he sent me a 10-minute voice note telling me everything.
And that basically sums up the kind of person I want by my side. Stop normalizing disinterest—you’re turning yourselves into idiots.
When you’re getting married, need to think about more! Whether the person you’re getting married to can actually be a father!
In church today a child was busy disturbing the mom and the mom was already tired, the dad had to carry the child and warn him and he was with the child throughout so the mom could enjoy service.
Tbh it is more than I love you love you and more of I’ve got you for life.
