Raymond McCallum π₯
Has passed away π
A Friend, a Mentor, Instructor,
A True Legend known in every circle of The Original Texas Martial Arts group.
A very long history, with a Bad Boy reputation, but always a Champion in any tournament he entered π.
He usually showed up on a Harley, slept on the bike until it was time to step into the ring.
Everyone regretted that He was there to compete.
His unexpected passing follows a long illness He's been fighting for two years.
It's not been long since He was a guest here, hanging with mutual friends and reminiscing on the early 80's Texas State Championship circuits, of which I participated in as a teenager.
Inducted into the Texas Martial Arts Hall of Fame, with Joy Turberville and Jeff Smith, and many of the originals who truly brought real Martial Arts to Texas.
Master Han, Bill Super Foot Wallace, Steve Goin, Billy Jack Jackson.
They always picked on little Chuckie Norris, for real and for sure.
That's no joke, They all came from the same era and schools and it was truly a running joke amongst them.
He'll be missed, He was loved by many but his reputation and fighting record will always be remembered here.
Rest Well Friend π
Watch over the ones You care about.
You're always welcome to come back here, hang with the Coyotes,
enjoy the Sunsets with Friends who understand the changes You made for the entire realm of Martial Arts
before it was even known to exist here.
I'll hang the belts in the Tree of Life for You Sensi.
Let them stay there, blow in the wind and anchor a place for You to visit.
Rest Easy, Rest Well.π
Laugh about the memories.
The Blackjack card night in Dallas, the Dojo on Knox Henderson, USA Karate on Buckner and the garage on Sarazan.
Hard News to Hear Brother.
You won't be forgotten Sir.
