@cafreiman Do you want them to say it's bad if it makes money? Making money is not a requirement for public services, as effectiveness is not only determined by the monetary value. If it's losing $ but it makes the good/service widely accessible, it's arguable that it's worth it.

@Lilys_verses I track the books I read because it’s fun for me and only person I’m competing with is myself. You don’t have to track books yourself if you don’t find it valuable and instead find it stressful

@BookTheftGuy Reading as much as you want is anti-reading? In June I read three books. In July I read 19. It’s fine to read at whatever pace you want / are able to! It takes me about an hour to read 100 pages, am I supposed to deliberately slow down?

@minaspills You might like the Founders Trilogy by Robert Jackson Bennett. I’m reading the Unicorn Hunters by Katherine Arden right now which is really great as well, and I also love the Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi. Green and Deadly Things by Jen Lyons is also awesome!

I just want to remind everyone that progress takes a really really long time. Progress requires persuading people and that’s hard and it can take multiple lifetime. It can take many generations.
