#BREAKING Anthony Albanese’s hand picked Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia, Aftab Malik, is already showing Australians exactly where his priorities lie - and it isn't with national security.

In a staggering display of deflection, Malik is now arguing that we must stop using “ideological labels” and stop defining terrorists by their actual “motive.” For radical Islamic extremists, that motive is explicitly the destruction of non believers. Yet, the Albanese government’s envoy wants us to ignore the root cause.

His logic is as backward as it is dangerous. Malik claims:

“When communities feel profiled and surveilled, they stop talking to police... The intelligence environment decays, and the security outcome is worse”

Let’s call this what it is: a veiled threat insinuating that if we monitor terrorists, the attacks will only get worse. He even dropped the outlandish claim that the global War on Terror “hurt more than it helped”

No, Aftab. It saved thousands of innocent lives and dismantled hundreds of active terror plots before they could reach our streets.

Instead of addressing radicalism head on, Malik complains about “25 years of a single community focus,” claiming it hasn’t made Australia safer. He then drops this absolute zinger:
“Criminalisation should not be the only mechanism in which to facilitate change.”

Since when is criminalising terrorism optional?

Instead of addressing the shock of recent knife attacks or pledging that community leaders will do everything possible to root out extremism and regain public trust, Malik is lecturing everyday Australians on how we are allowed to respond to atrocities.

This entire appointment is a massive failure by Anthony Albanese. He created a taxpayer funded envoy to police Australian speech and combat an overblown narrative.

Australians have a simple rule: we treat others the way they treat us. Show respect, and you will get it right back. We don't need lectures from an envoy trying to deflect from the real threats facing our country.
