This is a great article about the challenge of explaining the benefits of vaccines, and how some analogies fall short. Community benefit falls on the deaf ears of the populist movement. #FluTruxKlanGoHome#CommunityImmunity#VaccinesWork https://t.co/yJisEvbvpo
@Ologies I have a sense of awe for many things. I have a physiological reaction to things that I find "move" me. Goosebumps/stomach drop to certain music, and seeing something beautiful. I also have a sense of morality and ethics without needing a higher power.
@Afro_Herper What a pleasant surprise to get your email in my inbox, especially because I was just talking about you yesterday with my colleague A. Wilson at Science North. I #FoundThatLizard, but didn’t know how to let you know other than here. And, I have been trying to avoid here.
Smoke from wildfires can be harmful to everyone’s health, even at low concentrations.
If it’s smoky outside, be sure to plan your day & take actions like reducing time spent outdoors to lower your exposure to wildfire smoke.

@SciGeekJulie @lhaukmee That sucks. I too have let my mask wearing slip a bit. With the poor air quality in AB right now, I am wearing my mask indoors and outdoors. Hope you feel better soon.
#AirQuality is at the top of everyone's mind today. We call this a 'teachable moment'
#abed teachers - this worksheet will help students understand what particulate matter is, its impact on air quality & why, on days like today, it's pretty important!

Amazing resources at @UAlberta to keep people safe and healthy. Visiting with Sudbury Regional Science Fair finalists as part of the Canada Wide Science Fair. Free N95 masks available in the bookstore. Free COVID tests outside the pharmacy. Good work! @CaulfieldTim#CWSF2023
@AstroKatie The messaging is unclear. Ended up getting booster at Shoppers, along with my teen children. No questions asked, but when I called the health unit again, they said boosters aren't recommended if you're healthy & I would have to speak to someone before my shot & might be denied.
@MaryLToronto @jakobpunkt I called the local health unit to book, and also went to a pharmacy and both said I was "not eligible". Not sure if it was because I wasn't exactly 6 months post last booster at the time of inquiry.
@SoVeryBritish Salt and vinegar chips/crisps in an egg salad sandwich. Ketchup chips in a sliced cheese sandwich. Works with cheddar too, but you really need the soft squishy, sliced, white bread and "plastic" cheese for the best experience. Mom spoke of chip butties in England. Not the same.
