@ashvinmelwani 100%.
Especially for straightforward products that need no explanation, a high-impact static image with a strong headline can be a top performer.
@gregisenberg Tons more reasons beyond that from a creator’s POV: YT has better monetization & community-building opportunities, more stability if you’re a US-based creator, and offers a more stable platform for off-shooting a biz outside of YT.
@gregisenberg (1) hands down. TikTok creators literally try to move their followers off TikTok. TT prioritizes content based on the merit of each piece of content so sometimes I don’t even see the ppl I follow on TT if the algo deems their content “unengaging”.
@johncutlefish It's the easiest metric one can use to shill ads to those not in the know. ("Look! This promoted tweet got 3.4M impressions! If you want more people to see your product, buy Twitter ads!")
@johncutlefish There's a number of systems like that, but the best (imo) is https://t.co/kgxESsEs3A. It rests flat, you can add/remove pages, and they have an absurd # of different types of inserts.
@codyplof I feel like the DTC crowd confuses brand marketing with performance marketing. Performance marketing is simply the evolution of *how* to track marketing performance, which occurred because of the increased efficacy of tracking software from FB, GOOG, etc.
@codyplof Brand marketing is the value that your brand contributes to your bottomline & includes: brand identity, brand perception, brand retention, brand trust, brand equity, etc.
Contrary to popular belief, the parallel to brand marketing is product marketing, NOT performance marketing.
@codyplof It has masala chai, cacao, turmeric, cinnamon and a whole bunch of mushrooms. I serve mine with a generous pour of half-n-half and it tastes like an herbal concoction that’s gonna do magical shit for you. Hard to describe, lol
@codyplof@triplewhale Is it good? Honestly, no.
But I literally threw up a little in my mouth the very first time I had coffee, and Mud Water just elicited a simple "huh, that's new" reaction.
What's impressive about Mud Water is that it actually does make me feel "awake" without the coffee jitters.
@rochi_zalani Agree that they're different specializations.
Copywriting is about creating a compelling narrative and using language that resonates with people.
Content writing is about knowing what your audience wants to read, and doing the research on what specifically to talk about.
@ShevHolland >I’ve now gotten to the point where I found a way to keep it healthy while maintaining more.
Love THAT for you!! Balance is so important, and I'm so happy you got here. In only four months too, which, btw, congrats (!!!), but also that's crazy good progress.
@ChrisJBakke Listening to what the candidate asks reveals a lot about whether there'll be good candidate-organization fit without having to delve into silly question territory, and actually offering market rate for any projects done will prevent it from coming across as free work.
@ChrisJBakke Vibe checks + case studies are actually so helpful in understanding if the candidate is going to do well if done right tho!
A great alt is to dedicate an entire call to answer questions the candidate has about working at the company. Also plz pay for case studies/test projects.
