❗️Here's the REAL hidden downsides no one talks about when owning a Tesla:
1. Washer fluid streaks—smears your windows and car in rain.
2. Auto wipers? Terrible
3. Insurance is sky-high—$600/month in CA? avg $200
4. Interior feels cheap AF—hard plastics.
5. No home charger? Supercharger hell: long waits, costs more than gas, sketchy locations.
6. Phantom braking on Autopilot—slams brakes out of nowhere.
7. Cold weather kills range—330 miles down to 240?
8. Service is brutal—weeks for appointments, expensive repairs, terrible support.
9. Touchscreen for everything—glovebox via screen? Distracting AF, especially with kids.
10. Paint chips. Have to get PPF
@Project_RCC FSD is having a super hard time with the shitty windshield wiper system on new model Y. multiple disengagements by FSD....here is one of them :( I washed the car the day before and we couldn't keep the windshield clean while driving
A serious incident shared by @treyeshua: his 2025 Model 3 loses control in wet freeway conditions, spins, and impacts the center median. The vehicle was totaled.
He kindly allowed me to analyze the footage in @TesCamStudio, which confirms FSD was active. Glad he walked away from this. It’s a reminder that traction and conditions remain critical variables.
@OverlyTrev@ArthurFromX@treyeshua@TesCamStudio the car started "jerking around" in the lane before it lost traction. this has happened to me a couple of times when there are no solid lines. (New Model Y) never a problem on AP 3 on model S. driver should have "felt" this one coming and disengage...great that nobody got hurt <3
@ArthurFromX@treyeshua@TesCamStudio look at the car starting to loose the center of the lane (going left, right, left right...ever so slightly) before it looses traction. I have noticed this in my new Y as well (and hard to disengage a ton of times. AP1, 2 and 3 was able to hold the center of the lane better imo
@ElectricRaph @EV_Stevee @SwissTeslaphile Europe should be the birthplace for Tesla premium service …anything is not as it is supposed to be …Tesla brings a new car …takes yours and fixes it …then returns it to you …cleaned and waxed
@ElectricRaph @EV_Stevee @SwissTeslaphile Owning my model s since dec 2017 …I have had soo many struggles with tesla over warranty issues …never let them replace a faulty part and then let them claim they did it as curtesy… tesla hebt damit die gesetzliche Gewährleistung aus!! Keine Chance auf kaufrückabwicklung #tsla
