By the way, my brother is the Town Council Mayor of Lira Palwo, and I'm so proud of him. Since we look alike, I also enjoy respect from people in his constituency. And most times when I don't have time to explain myself, I do what politicians do - smile, wave, and give them hope.
Don't be in a hurry to fulfill childhood dreams when you're no longer a child
True maturity involves balancing youthful ambitions with present responsibilities &finding joy in the current phase of life
Childhood dreams are often just visions, while adult goals require adaptation
I don't call any pastor "papa" bse my masculinity won't allow it. Sometimes I even call my biological dad by his name. Let's keep spiritual things straight: God is the Father (Papa) and u're His servant (the shepherd, or in other terms, pastor), and we're sheep/Christ's followers
But then, why would someone willingly risk their life? Why run straight into danger when you see it coming?
Maybe Kenyans are just built differently🤔, kind of like our West Nilers, who fear rain more than they fear bullets.
Just thinking out loud. 🤔
Been watching some video clips from Kenya as they mourn the death of their leader, Raila Odinga, and I can’t help but wonder — what does Museveni do differently that keeps Ugandans from acting out like what we’re seeing in Kenya?
Maybe it’s because he’s created Uganda where, as he once said, “even a fool can survive.”
It seems like the cost of living in Kenya hits so hard that many young people turn to hooliganism as a way to cope with the tough economy.
@ubctvuganda@AndrewMwenda Who are the balaalos? Is it a fictional name? I thought they were cattle keepers from other countries other than Uganda.
Are there specific tribes hiding under this name? If that's not the case, why are some tribes upset about the eviction of balaalos who are non-Ugandans?.
@nbstv@AnitahAmong In journalism, it is called Streisand's effect. It is the paradoxical phenomenon where an attempt to suppress information or censor content actually increases its notoriety and public awareness.
@lacor_hospital I commend Lacor Hosp's medical team for saving Adong's life, but I'm concerned about the delayed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. The fact that she was initially suspected to hv peritonitis and later found to hv an abdominal pregncy highlights significant gaps in the diagnostic process
@dammiedammie35 Also, how much does a good meal cost? What's the weekly rent like? How much is the daily transport fare? Sometimes, it's inflation and the high standard of living in certain places that make it seem like their employees are paid significantly better than ours in Africa.
