Fabulous outcome at NSW/ACT Branch of the ACPSEM MedPhys2023.
Congratulations to @okeefealice for the most outstanding presentation award and Kiarn Roughley for the commendations of the jury.
Proud of all the TNT and CMRP students at @uoweis
Superconductors? Magnetic levitation? Could this be the key to virtually unlimited power? @okeefealice joins me on ABC Illawarra today, possibly still this excited. https://t.co/BZw8VvaKVg
What are women scientists 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 in kids' tv cartoons? Girly, violent magicians in exaggerated "laboratories" who can only exert power through the men around them. New #scicomm paper with Jade Soucy-Humphreys, @AnnaSo_Jurgens + @ANU_Popsicule out now! https://t.co/xJiYWIP0Ri
See this is why I think TikTok just works. Where else can I passively imbibe/ refresh my understanding of quantum mechanics in between cat videos before I even realize what’s happening? @okeefealice#TikTok https://t.co/3nXfGzzMbr

Happy PhD students @SarahPhysicist and @okeefealice producing the next nanoparticle generation for image guided radiation therapy in Clermont-Ferrand/France
After one month of CT imaging on nanoparticles in glioma, some 😴. Well done to our surgeons @abasskhochaiche and @SarahPhysicist, to the assistants surgeons @okeefealice, Carolyn Hollis and Michael Valceski. You are stars and rocked! Thanks to UOW AEC for your support!
It’s important to put extra effort into calibrating one's uncertainties in those areas where one is not really an expert. That doesn’t mean only experts can have opinions. Everyone is entitled to opinions about everything. Just not to unwarranted confidence.
How are we going to tell humans 40,000 years in the future where we buried all the nuclear waste? And what does it have to do with bioluminescent cats? And is there a catchy song about it? All of this will be explained on ABC Illawarra when @okeefealice talks Nuclear Semiotics!
We had no choice … we had to go through this difficult year. No easy way out but opportunities are to come.
Together we will do much.
“Smaller in number are we, but larger in mind.”
