@jeffkoperski https://t.co/HHGAKEEt4o is fun on this point—but you see, *next* year we'll be able to do it. Incidentally, have you come across Robert Rosen 1991 Life Itself? He has an interesting critique of the idealizations of what he calls the "Newtonian formalism".

Thoughts on https://t.co/WSP4iIOIzK vs. https://t.co/zpfIAAM2Gr ? It seems like CC companies could make it much easier on consumers than they are … High interest rates during a pandemic sounds like #PandemicProfiteering to me. The rich always make out in times like this.

Went to @ATT to get a SIM card for my iPad. They said it'd be $10/mo more on my bill. My bill was ≈$73/mo. Now it's going to be $133/mo with a $30 one-time fee for the SIM card. Does this seem sensible to anyone? Tried to resolve by chat but I have to wait to get the bill. >:-[

https://t.co/gxRAsr2AAr This is anti-intellectual, anti-freedom, anti-human. Sadly, I doubt enough people with enough political power will object. By the way, it might not be Microsoft's fault—they may be required to do this by copyright holders.

@verizon I just got a phishing call from 1 [phone], claiming my account was suspended; they solicited my zip code and last four digits of my SSN. I gave them all zeros just to see what would happen. After confirming the SSN digits they hung up. I don't have a Verizon acct.

@stealthygeek @Alminie For what it's worth, you only polarize by resorting to insult rather than answer with more rationality than the other person can muster. Surely you know this, so I guess your exclusive purpose here is to polarize. Hasn't our nation had enough of that already?

Why is #PowerShell so obnoxious at times? Random linebreaks in long_error.exe 2>error.txt : https://t.co/sFiwLyRq2i . The workaround is ridiculous. I want to like PS, but sometimes it makes things difficult …

Who uses #AutoHotkey these days? I like automation but AutoHotkey can be obnoxious to use for a developer who is used to OO languages. It took me a while, but I just wrote hotkey scripts to emulate OSX's command-backtick in windows: https://t.co/DFfMzszuqz .

@stiobhart That's why I wrote a TamperMonkey script to undo it: https://t.co/y68ZhGsTSr

@Microsoft: blue screen immediately tells you "Why?". @Apple: hides incompetence and makes you search for "Why?".

@iephilosophy The IEP website seems to go down quite frequently; I worry that this means people won't rely on it as much. :-(

@feederco: New privacy policy, http://t.co/bWFn8B2Ed4, says its Chrome RSS reader will collect URLs. Ummm, privacy violation?

If you get 3GB prepaid SIM, then sign up for 3GB recurring, #tmobile will charge you $30 + $20 instead of delaying the $20 for a month. >:-(

[Luke Breuer @labreuer]

#tmobile wasted ~3hrs of my time by canceling my auto-renew iPad LTE, then by restricting passwords to 15 chars, then my dropping my calls.
