A billionaire wrote a book on "Making it Big," you say you won't read it because he started life in London.
You hear a piece of advice, you dismiss it by saying, "it can only work in America, not here."
Someone told you they got their job without any connections in Nigeria, you say, that was then, that today, you can't get a job without connections.
Then you see someone, today, in Nigeria, get a job, you say but they finished with a First Class.
Then someone with a 2:1 did it, you say, but they are young.
Then another, you say, but they are a lady. People help ladies.
I hope you do know that there is no prize for the person that can come up with the best excuse?
At some point, you will need to look yourself in the mirror and say, "if it is to be, it is up to me."
The day you do that is your morning.
Good morning in advance 🙏
I am a sucker for educational podcasts.
But there are only a handful of podcasts that have truly changed me in unimaginable ways.
Read the thread for those and the links to them.

@Excel_007@_dinomelaye Reading the comments under this tweet makes me lose hope for this country. It seems it's about who is in power, not even the bare minimum of government responsibility.
What hope does the common man have if he cannot afford to japa from this country, O Lord?
Let's get you leapfrogging in 3 simple steps
Your career is built, brick by brick, by you, and if you must win, there are some simple tips that can help you.
Let me show you how:
1- ✔️ Create Undeniable Proof
In my experience, nobody cares about efforts that do not translate into visible results.
That problem you solved: Did it create more money, less expenses, less risks, save loads of time or make your stakeholders look good?
Stop working for the sake of it. What does that work mean?
You must consistently create proof that your work translates into results that are valuable.
2- ✔️ Get a sponsor.
Your manager is not enough.
You need someone influential, two or three levels up, who knows your first name and says it confidently in rooms you're not in.
How?
Create a bond.
Deliver value to their priorities.
Make their job easier.
Show up prepared when you are meeting with them.
Be the person they'd bet on.
3- ✔️ Build a narrative & a brand.
This is the part most people miss.
You need to open your mouth and tell your own story.
It doesn't matter whether you are having chats with peers or you are at a cross-departmental meeting; find a way to push your brand.
‘I handled a similar situation a while back. This was the result. Leave this one with me, I'll handle it.’
Make a big deal out of your excellence.
It's not normal, so toot your horn.
In all,
Create one undeniable win.
Get yourself a sponsor.
Make your impact a story.
That's you leapfrogging into your next levels.
Make sense?
Go and be fantastic today.

@SirJarus You are what you think of yourself. If you are not lazy, you will be fine.
Whatever you choose to do just have the mindset that failure is not an option.
With a winning mentality, you will be surprised at how smart you are. Go and win.......
One of my sister’s kids is resuming 100 level in uni, I sent her these since dawn lol, I just went back to read all I typed and I’m laughing
E be like I sabi advise
The life you want is within your reach.
The extraordinary life you didn't even know you wanted is also within your reach.
A decade ago, I would never have imagined that all I saw in my dreams would one day be the reality I would live in.
I am still on this journey, and I have so much to look forward to, and I have no doubts that I will achieve more than what my mind can see.
Listen!
It is irrelevant on what plane you are standing.
The limitations your environment creates do not count.
What people think is their business to mind.
What matters is that you can envision the journey, and you can commit to doing the boring stuff for as long as it takes.
The future you dream of is no more special than who you are right now.
You need to continue to demonstrate that you can stay the course and show up to that future through your daily actions.
This is how I know this to be true: if any human has achieved the growth I am looking for, then I can achieve it too.
It is a simple yet effective rule of thumb.
If you can see it clearly, that's half the battle.
Make Sense?
Go and be fantastic today.

How Can I be Lucky?
1. Show up often. Showing up often means you are prepared. Attend events, join communities, upskill, and put things in motion. When luck knocks, you’ll only recognize it if you’re ready. Skills, discipline, and preparation make you “suddenly lucky.”
2. Lucky people trust their gut, their inner voice. This is because most times, your instincts know before your brain does. This will help you take chances others avoid. Learn to listen when something feels right (or wrong). Be intuitive enough to see the "yeses" despite the many "nos."
3. Lucky people don't shy away from connections. They take advantage of any opportunity to start a conversation or keep one going because they know that conversations open doors. Every “random” connection might lead to your next job, friend, or life shift.
4. Stay curious. Lucky people read, explore, ask questions, and experiment. Curiosity expands the surface area where luck can land.
5. Run away from a rigid mindset. A flexible mindset is capable of reframing setbacks. Where unlucky people see problems, lucky people see redirection. That is the power of the mindset shift.
6. Protect your energy. What keeps you positive? Clarity is essential because a clear mind attracts better decisions.
You can do either of these or all: praying, meditating, fasting, or journaling. Go for what clears your inner noise.
At the end of the day, luck isn’t all about chance. It’s more about alignment. Being the right person at the right place, at the right time.
When preparation, people, and timing meet, you look “lucky.”
