It was a privilege for the Uruguayan crew to host a very distinguished and enthusiastic group of colleagues/friends from nearby and far away.
We wish all safe travels and we hope to see everyone again in Fortaleza Brazil for #LACA_VII.

The last night of #LACA2024 in #Montevideo instead of being sad is a party. Traditional uruguayan dancing and singing at "El Milongón" with participants enjoying uruguayan wine and the show.

Closing Keynote talks of Day 3 of #LACA2024 show no decrease in intensity from the morning ones (a #neutron scattering type day).
Florencia Di Salvo 🇦🇷 and Peter Spackman 🇦🇺 showed results on cryst.eng. with biomolecules and prediction of cryst. growth from solution, respectively

A fun fact was given. The 128 participants from 20 different countries accumulated almost half a million km round trip from and to their institutions, or enough km to turn 12,4 times around earth.

#LACA2024 had it's closing Ceremony and is virtually over, except for the 3 parallel workshops running tomorrow.

The afternoon of Day 3 of #LACA2024 devoted to Dissemination and teaching Crystallography also had very high notes. The Crystal Growing Competitions of 🇦🇷, 🇨🇱 and 🇺🇾 were presended with a talk on alternativ representations of diffraction geometries beyond the reciprocal lattice.
