Going back to the video game issue specifically, I don’t even really like playing modded games lol.
I don’t care to curate my own experience, it’s more interesting to become enveloped in what someone else thought of and put effort into.
I know this stuff looks cool, and I use AI extensively (for coding) but I’ve always had a hard time respecting usage of AI video/photo.
The feeling I get looking at DLSS 5 stuff is very much “but I’m not looking at anything someone made for me”. It just feels too fake to care
It doesn’t matter how “real” any of this shit feels, it’s just code.
That opinion is buffered by the following opinions I hold:
1. we probably don’t live in a simulation
2. we are animated by something beyond our biology
3. humanity is important and comes first.

We see a lot of people actually victim of tall poppy syndrome, and we see just as many people who half ass an idea and cry about criticism claiming to be a victim of tall poppy syndrome.
