@smgstudio@laurclinn Hi! I'm a freelance concept artist and illustrator, always on the lookout for new clients.

@voidrantsback But to throw out some rough example numbers, for a single environment illustration a junior artist might charge around $250 USD, a more senior artist might charge 3-4 times that. Illustrators who work on Magic the Gathering are typically paid $1000+ USD per card
@voidrantsback It depends on a lot of factors. Most 2D artists will quote you based on an hourly rate which can vary quite a bit depending on their seniority. If the illustrated environment is made up of modular assets it would depend wildly on how many there were.
@domino_jack +1 for the Red Dead Redemption games - you could remove all the gameplay from them and you would essentially have a really well written TV series. Also God of War 4 and Ragnarok
@MakesKim Yeah I've got to get around to reading the King in Yellow short stories - especially since they are old enough to just be freely available on the internet
Here are some impressive old artworks which I don't think make the rounds very often
Cardinal Richelieu at the Siege of La Rochelle by Henri-Paul Motte, 1881
