We can’t talk about Kenya’s future without talking to its youth.
Today, too many young Kenyans are navigating:
1. High unemployment and underemployment
2. Exclusion from policy and decision-making spaces
3. Unequal access to quality education, digital tools, and capital
4. The harsh realities of climate change and environmental degradation
5. A widening gap in meaningful civic and economic participation
But, we can all change things.
In the lead-up to International Youth Day (IYD) 2025, UNDP Kenya is creating a platform to change the narrative — and we want your voice in it.
We’re calling on young people, women, researchers, practitioners, leaders, and community leaders to contribute to a special compendium on:
“Harnessing the Demographic Dividend Through Youth Engagement in Kenya"
This is your chance to document real stories, share impactful ideas, and propose bold, evidence-based solutions to the challenges our generation faces — from governance and climate action to digital innovation and social justice and more.

Donald Trump Tariffs will awaken Africa!
We are the biggest producers of Tea, Coffee & Cocoa yet we export them raw then England, Italy & Belgium supplies the world with processed products. A bar of Belgian chocolate is more expensive than one bag of cocoa beans! English packaged Lipton tea rules the world!
We are the biggest producers of Gold, Diamond & Uranium yet Dubai is world’s capital of purified gold, Tel Aviv & Antwerp are world’s capitals of diamond jewelry, France runs on nuclear power!
We export iron ore, aluminum, zinc et al, yet we can’t produce even simple bicycles & spoons!
We export leather & we have no shoes!
The stupidity in Africa is unparalleled & inexcusable!
"We are facing climate change, biodiversity loss, and new conflicts. Once again, we will need to build capabilities to be able to address these new problems." Sandra Milach, CGIAR Chief Scientist. #CGIARScienceWeek
