I will start and finish my PHD. I don't know when that will be, heck I haven't even started applications yet but yeah, I will start and finish in good time. So help me God🙏
7 things you can do today that can realistically get you a PhD position before the end of 2026…Not vague advice… actual actions you can take in the next 24–48 hours.
Let’s go.
1) Define your research focus (write it in 2 lines)
Action: Open a doc and finish this sentence:
“I’m interested in studying ___ using ___ methods, especially in the context of ___.”
Example:
“I’m interested in studying emotional memory using behavioral experiments and computational modeling, especially in mental health contexts.”
If you can’t write this clearly… nothing else will stick.
2) Turn your CV into a “research CV”
Action: Edit ONE project right now using this format:
- Problem: What were you trying to solve?
- Method: What did you use?
- Outcome: What changed?
Example:
“Studied gene expression in breast cancer using RNA-seq analysis; identified 3 candidate pathways linked to immune response.”
No long paragraphs. Make it scannable.
3) Build a list of 10 target labs (not universities)
Action: Search on Google:
“[your topic] lab university”
Open profiles and shortlist 10 PIs.
Example:
Search: “emotional memory lab Europe”
→ Find labs working on memory + mental health.
Put names + links in a sheet.
4) Read ONE paper properly (not just abstract)
Action: Pick 1 lab → open 1 recent paper → answer:
- What problem are they solving?
- What method are they using?
- What would you do next?
Example:
“They study fear memory using fMRI… next step could be combining with behavioral interventions.”
This is how you prepare for both SOPs and interviews.
5) Set up a simple tracking system
Action: Create a Google Sheet with 4 columns:
- Lab / PI
- Research area
- Open positions link
- Status (Not applied / Applied / Interview)
This avoids chaos when you apply to multiple places.
6) Draft a base motivation letter (only once)
Action: Write 3 short paragraphs:
- Your background (what you’ve done)
- Your research interest (your 2-line clarity)
- Why research / PhD
Example opening:
“My research experiences have focused on understanding how cognitive processes influence mental health outcomes…”
You will reuse this 70% every time, but make sure to personalise it according to the goals of the laboratory.
7) Write ONE high-quality email to a supervisor
Action: Keep it under 6 lines:
- Who you are
- What you’ve done (1–2 lines)
- Why their work specifically
- One thoughtful question
Example:
“I read your recent paper on emotional memory modulation… I’m particularly interested in how behavioral interventions could be integrated…”
Do these today… and you’ll feel the difference immediately. DM me “help” if you’re serious about making brutal changes in your applications and win a scholarship in 2026.

For all of you who hate me because I healed my eyes and no longer need to wear glasses....
An older friend of mine of 40 years read that post, I saw him tonight. We were talking about it and he took off his glasses. I talked to him about how to relax his eyes...within 10 minutes, he said the blur was less, that he could see more clearly. I suggested he look up the Bates Eye Method, and get a Magic Eye book and walk around the house holding the 3 D image as he walked in different light levels. If he does that, his eyes will keep improving and then I can show him more. His eyes got better as we talked and walked. He was so excited. I did tell him to wear his glasses while he drove until his eyes were well enough to see clearly. He got almost immediate benefit.
ANYTHING CAN BE HEALED!
Love to you!

Irregular bowel movements are common but often dismissed as no big deal.
This can be risky as it affects the entire body & can lead to serious health issues.
Here are the most common causes I’ve seen and how I’ve helped people fix it.

Here are 8 common mistakes people make with magnesium, which could be the reason why your magnesium supplements are not working!
1. Thinking magnesium works by itself
Magnesium and vitamin D are codependent. You need 4,000 to 10,000 IUs of vitamin D for magnesium to work properly in the body. If you don’t have enough vitamin B6, potassium, or sodium, it may seem that your magnesium is not working.
2. Ignoring cell membrane damage
Many people have damaged cell membranes due to the consumption of seed oils. You need healthy cell membranes for magnesium absorption.
3. Stress
Stress shuts down digestion, lowers immunity, decreases blood flow to certain organs, and increases the demand for magnesium. Caffeine can also deplete magnesium.
4. Taking the wrong type of magnesium
Magnesium oxide is the most common form of magnesium in supplements, but it’s the worst! Magnesium glycinate is a much better option and is the most absorbable.
5. Blocking magnesium absorption without knowing
Too much calcium can block the absorption of magnesium. Zinc, fluoride, and aluminum can inhibit its function. Low stomach acid, antacids, and acid blockers can also interfere with magnesium absorption.
6. Misunderstanding RDAs
RDAs do not represent a therapeutic dose. If you’re trying to correct a magnesium deficiency, you need significantly more magnesium than the RDA. If you want to increase your magnesium intake, spread your doses throughout the day, as you can only absorb around 300 to 400 mg at once.
7. Unrealistic expectations
Vitamins and minerals do not work like drugs. It can sometimes take a while to restore healthy biochemistry in the body.
8. Missing the insulin connection
Insulin resistance can block magnesium absorption, and consequently, a magnesium deficiency can increase your risk of insulin resistance.
When chest mucus won’t budge… this is what mothers used to do.”
This is something I’ve used so many times with my own little ones — especially when they’re coughing and you can hear that deep chesty mucus that just won’t come up.
✨ Warm mustard oil massage
Mustard oil is traditionally used in Ayurveda as an expectorant — it helps loosen and clear mucus from the lungs. But what really makes it powerful is its warming quality. That gentle warmth softens the mucus and helps move it.
Here’s how I use it:
– Warm a small bowl of mustard oil by placing it in hot water (never directly heat it — just warm).
– Rub it onto the chest and back before bed or nap time.
– You can follow with a warm bath or just let them rest.
– I repeat this 2–3 times a day when needed.
It’s such a simple remedy, but honestly — it works.
And when your child finally sleeps soundly through the night without that rattly cough… it’s everything.
💛 Save this for when you need it.
