. @bt_uk no Internet for hours now and no response on your online messaging service. Any idea when it will be working again/I might get to speak to someone?
@brightroars_ I feel your pain! I suffer with them quite a bit too! Have you checked its not your eyes? As sometimes I get more when I need new glasses! Or when I'm stressed!

It was 6000 just over a month ago, we're now close to 1000. A huge drop.

New infections at 2409 which is the lowest since March.

Like in Denmark, I hope we're surprised by how low infections will stay.
Gov scientists estimate there has been a slight rise in the 'R' value.
No need to panic. The same thing happened in Germany and the small rise has now been reversed.
Small clusters of cases drag the value up.
Let's see what the next update is before we jump to any conclusions.
@brightroars_ It's so difficult & I don't think there is a fully perfect way to do this at all! But I know lots of our year 6 children could not cope without the extra transition they would normally get, they couldn't turn up at a new school & be okay with it 😊 ahh yeah probably for him! Haha
@brightroars_ Junior school and so have 7 year olds who would start without any chance to meet their new teacher and get to see their new school. Also the year 6's deserve to get to be leavers and have at least some of the events they should do to celebrate their achievements 😊
@brightroars_ Nope, it's going to be much harder if the kids don't come back as they will be even more out of routine. Also for children who need more support with transition will be able to get it instead of starting with a new teacher/school/setting without any time to adjust. We are a...
@brightroars_ It is but the main thing is its going down, and under 400 of those were in hospitals, deaths will be the last thing to come down, if you look at the amount last week (that was hospitals only) its come down a lot! Some of these deaths actually occurred in March/beginning of April
@brightroars_ This includes everywhere and also for the date they are recorded and not the date they died so it's hard to see but it is all going down...slowly but going down 😊
Really encouraging numbers coming out of the daily briefing.
The number of people with Coronavirus in hospital is down, critical care usage down, fatalities down.
Sir Patrick Vallance is right - it is heading in the right direction.
NHS England's Prof Stephen Powis - there has been a 'levelling off' of new cases and the early signs of a 'stabilisation' in hospital admissions.
This is important.
To lower the death toll, we have to first reduce these numbers.
We all need to stay the course - it's working.
