Fellow citizens,
There comes a time when we must choose what is bigger than us. Sit for a moment and think about the type of country we are creating for ourselves. We are ruining Zambia. We are nothing close to what countries like Rwanda are. We have said terrible things about President Paul Kagame; but have you seen how Rwandans rise to defend him?
Where is the patriotism? Why are we so selfish?
Today, let us take a moment and think beyond our personal wishes. Let us think about the hatred we have for people with views and ideas that are contrary from ours. Why should we hate them? What reason could we possibly have? So what if someone is UPND or PF? So what? Have we scandalized alternative ideas and realities?
As a patriot, I am humbly calling on my fellow citizens, especially the youth, to create a new path for our country. Let us speak truth to power. Let us stand for what is right. Let us concede when our fight is hurting the very cause we are fighting for. Let us put Zambia first! Zambia today is as it is because leaders before us chose themselves over country.
If we’re not noticing, we’re slowly failing this country. A country cannot succeed without its people. We’re one people with diverse opinions and ideas. This is not a weakness. It is a strength. As people, we are stronger when we have people who are different from us. An elephant is not like a tree-trunk, a wall, a snake, a fan or a spear. It is like all those things. Together, we form an elephant.
I join all members of our society calling for unity, love and peace. It is far much better than the burden of hate. Remember that hatred hurts you more than the person you’re hating.
Let love lead!
Dalitso Lungu, son of Former President Edgar Lungu, through his lawyers, has written to Prime TV demanding a public apology, retraction, and K5 million compensation over claims he was summoned by DEC. He denies ever being called in.
🚨 Cristiano: “Lamine is going to win a lot of collective and individual titles. He's a phenomenon”.
“He'll have a long career and he's going to win a lot of Nations Leagues”.
“He’s 17… Please, leave him alone. I have to ask you to let him be. He has to be calm”.
It’s disappointing to see the family take advice from sore political losers trying to spin a solemn moment into clout. This isn’t leadership it’s pettiness dressed up. A former president deserves dignity from start to finish. This isn’t it.
So much distractions and evil baits online everyday. My fellow believers, please let your tweets edify. Push godly content, encourage someone, share the love of Christ. If you must criticize, let it be in love.
The devil is doing a smart work, don’t help him do more. Selah.
