A renewed attitude was pointed Emma's way. Wanda recognized the other, of course. There was a diamond-skinned telepath on her Earth too. Equally as brash and just as stunning.
"Emma Frost, right? Please tell your name isn't like, Stacy or something, here."
If there was a mental-equivalent to twisting the lock on a door, Emma would feel that in response. Though, it was unlikely it'd keep her out. Wanda preferred her thoughts to remain in her own head.
Still, telepathy could be useful in relaying the more important information
After that brief glimpse into that chaotic mind, Emma fully withdrew her attention, effectively slamming a mental door shut before she could be overwhelmed.
“Just as I thought…” She looked away for a moment, raising a hand to gently rub her temple.>>
ponytail and twirled the strands at the end around her gloved finger.
"I don't mean to brag but I 𝑤𝑎𝑠 the most qualified... They practically begged me to be the leader so, I couldn't refuse. I mean, who else was gonna do it? Wade? Tuh!"
"Eh, maybe. Could be a Professor Pepper moment. I still can't believe Earth-616 doesn't have that...
Wait, turn back the clock. You're good with a pistol, too? How do you feel about the word: sidekick?"
Peter Parker likely still existed in her universe, and as Spider-Man. Her Earth wasn't totally swapped one way or the other. His identity was unknown to her. If she were a devout Daily Bugle reader and familiarized herself with the photographers, it might've rang a bell.
“Right it wouldn’t be Peter in your universe… Oh wacky ideas and being a foodie is what I’m best at. That and occasionally having to shoot a gun when needed but those are far and few between. Well no there was that time we broke into Oscorp. Good times…”
"But it's sooo lovely to meet you, Gwen. Really, truly. You just keep agreeing with me and bringing me wacky ideas, and I'm sure we'll be besties in no time flat."
Wanda taps her forehead with her palm, as though a lightbulb just sparked for the first time in ages.
"Peter 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑘𝑒𝑟, riiight! Duh!" she said, arms folded over her chest with a curt nod. She'd up to speed now. Not.
"Yeah, I have no idea who that is."
“Haha no pistols or Dinklbot here. I mean Peter Parker which is why I’m partly familiar with the whole multiverse shenanigans. I’m Gwen Stacy, or at least a version of Gwen Stacy.”
Gwen felt robbed that she never got to interact with a Deadpool before now. They’re hilarious.
"Your lips say that but you heart...!"
.
.
.
"Probably also says that. It's okay, I'll just keep trying and trying and trying until I change your mind."
"Hurtful... But also totally untrue. Everyone wants to hang out with me. I'm like, the coolest mercenary you know."
"...What? Please don't make me repeat a moment of total vulnerability. I will hyperventilate."
"Peterrrrrr...who? Jackson? Dinklage? Piper-packed-a-pair-of-puny-pistols? Points for knowing who I am and saving me the whole multiverse exposition. God, it's such a mouthful. Nice to meet you too, person-whose-name-I'm-sure-I'll-get-shortly."
That's our monthly hyphen budget..
“Haha unfortunately I don’t share Peter’s knack for assembling gadgets else I absolutely would make you one. So no losing legs for you, LDP. I think you’re also the first Deadpool I’ve actually met so nice to meet you!”
She extended her hand with a wide grin on her face.
"I'll try almost anything once, so if you can make it, go nuts. If I cut a leg or two off, though, I'm billing you for emotional damages and suit repairs."
"Probably not great. Odd numbers of limbs always seem to leave something to be desired. I'd go for four, but I fought a four-armed version of myself once and, well, I'm here. She's not. Go figure."
While the Maul strategy worked for lightsabers, katanas seemed less efficient.
“Hmmm maybe I’m thinking an earth Maul situation with you can have two dual ended swords. A third arm would be interesting just not sure how that would feel…”
She looked up as she thought about the logistics of an additional arm.
Oooh, I can't wait to shoot down some of your 'brilliant' ideas.
You know, if you want to get me out of my mask, you *can* just say that. I don't do it for just anyone but I'll make an exception.
