Thank you @DitchThatTxtbk for the Halloween Escape Room! We stayed socially distanced while engaging online and in-person learners in problem-solving, collaborative FUN! 🎃😀 lots of smiles, laughter, and celebrating!
@robertkaplinsky@openmiddle My GATE students’ engagement AKA competitiveness was an all time high! But they couldn’t follow the constraints. A dose of academic humility was good for them, too! 😂 I projected correct answers on a Google Slide and they wanted to “top” each other (and work during recess)
Letting everyone know about the webinar/panel discussion I am moderating Wednesday 29th, 4PM Eastern: Reimagining Possibilities for Blended Hybrids and Distance Learning Models. Help me spread the word. More info at: https://t.co/qurHXiIoZV
Hoping next week’s synchronous teaching goes better! 😂 No easy answers for schools right now! I feel one way we all can make a difference is to help children focus on the positives. 🥰 I’m choosing to find the humor in my not-so-flattering outtakes. @TUSDthrives#tusdgate
Ok folks... While we still should be practicing social distancing I thought I would share this great resource. Check out some of these games and give them a try.
Please Retweet this so people learn the joy of play can stay strong during this global pandemic!

Daring greatly with 21 new faces tomorrow for Virtual GATE Summer Scholars! 🙏Hope my WiFi is good to me! Henry Ford and I are ready! @TUSDschools#tusdGATE
@MrazKristine @CotsenAoT Realize I’m passing back my students’ supplies during tomorrow’s Cotsen session! ☹️ but my students: made a spy costume (to go spy on a cousin), made a pyramid, took out small clothes to donate to charity, made a jump rope out of a jacket and jumped rope, lots of reorganization!
