And if love and pain can exist in the same place. Then it’s true, we must feel pain to truly understand what it means to love.
And that’s grief.
The feeling of losing something or someone that once held a power of love.
It hurts to lose but we always gain back
This is my favorite shelter dog. He feels like he’s my dog but isn’t my dog. And I hope that he will find the right people that love him the way that I do.
I don’t shame him for his past I embrace him for his future and who he may become.
Just like people.
You are becoming EVERYTHING you’ve been affirming. You are beautiful. You are chosen. You are confident. You are wealthy. You are deeply loved. You are always prioritized. You are magnetic. You are living your dream life. And somehow, everything keeps working out in your favor.
Maturing is realizing they never burned witches. They burned midwives, healers, herbalists, and knowledgeable women.
Women who understood medicine, nature, and their own autonomy. Women whose knowledge threatened patriarchal control. The "witch hunts" were never about magic, they were about silencing women who couldn't be controlled.
