@bitandbang I know our relationship is more like liking each other's post from afar but I think you're really cool, I love seeing your outfit posts and hearing what you've been up to ๐๐ค
@qkate Omg yes, this absolutely. I would also love if they had printed designs or different colors for the filters and the surrounding mask cage thing.
@qkate I definitely prefer the seal of my flo mask but I don't like the way it looks so I'm considering making a cover or something if I can figure out to do it without impacting the seal.
@qkate I've been using these (https://t.co/bVYQmbPEOj) with my KN95s since 2021 (shopping, long tattoo sessions, exercising, etc) and the seal seems the same for me as when I wear the ear straps. My head is shaved though so I suspect that makes it easier for me.
I can not emphasize enough how much peopleโs refusal to wear masks & mandate masks is the DUMBEST, MOST RECKLESS, MOST INFURIATING aspect of living thru this pandemic.

There is great depth in what is at stake for myself and my community if poor and working-class people continue not to have a seat at the table. From the beginning, one thing has remained clear-- the existing power structures exclude people like me, and they do so intentionally.
Hey friends! I'd love to help my friend reach their funding goal for their gender affirming surgery.
If you'd like to help, I'll be matching donations, up to $200. Just send me a screenshot of your donation ๐๐๐

New in @CDCMMWR: Adults perceiving a high level of #COVID19 community transmission are more likely to take preventive actions, but a low percentage perceived local COVID-19 spread accurately. The more people know, the more likely they are to take action: https://t.co/rhcg0swKUV
@bitandbang i can't always feel my body or what it is doing so being able to see it or get some other form of sensory input (trainer or friend tapping me on muscles i need to be engaging, how something should sound, etc) is important for me to be able to really learn what i'm doing
@bitandbang aside from a lot of the stuff already mentioned (trainer, reading, watching videos, etc), i also find mirrors & recordings really helpful. i usually pick one or two aspects of a lift i want to work on and use the mirror/recording to help me tell if i am really getting it or not
Wanna hear a great talk about how @LaunchDarkly uses LaunchDarkly for rate limiting, db migrations, skipping flaky tests & more? One of my favorite humans, Stacy Harrison, is talking about this today at 1:45pm PST/9:45pm GMT.

After taking some time off, I'm starting the process of looking for my next tech role. Any leads you have would be appreciated ๐
Values: autonomy, collaboration, trust, assumed competency by default, kindness
Interests: Go, new languages, open source, more backend focused
@SolutionGeek I think I'm still interested in being a leader/doer atm, mainly because I feel like I've finally hit my stride with career growth.
I am super interested in developer advocacy at some point though. The work devrel does seems really impactful and challenging, I respect it a lot.
