I’m sorry to the ones who are reading this and didn’t get the message in person or personal via text. Ben went in on surgery Friday morning on the 3rd of May for his liver transplant. He fought for 3.5 hours to try to make though the surgery but unfortunately there were

for him, we would love to hear stories y’all could message him and we will read them and maybe shoot a story back. We will release information about his celebration of life get together if anyone would like to come share stories and photos we would love to hear and see them all

complications with the surgery and the operation was not successful. Ben passed away that morning trying to stay with us so he could fulfill his dreams, adventures, and to express to people how he truly loved and cared about them. Thank you to everyone who supported him and cared

After my diagnosis I slowly started to drop classes as it was getting difficult to juggle classes, doctors appointments, and my mental health. Thankfully my department and advisors were understanding and worked with my to maintain my stipend during the spring (2022)

Last fall I developed symptoms of appendicitis’and after an ultrasound they found several masses on my enlarged liver. After several months of testing it was determined I had stage IIIA liver cancer
