Excited to share this cougar photo, retrieved from my DSLR #cameratrap yesterday in the Alberta foothills. So grateful to share these woods with such incredible wildlife!
first time capturing TWO cougars in the same camera trap clip! if you look closely in the top you can see the eye shine from the second - who also passes directly in front of the camera one minute later #ThatsPrettyNeat
Looking forward to great questions & lively debate at my Sept 29 presentation on decolonizing wildlife management. Cohosts @HumanitiesYYC & @fortcalgary . RSVP in person or live zoom at eventbrite @UCalgaryArts @UCalgaryGeog @CanGeographers
After a few months abroad, it was exciting to get back in the woods and check my DSLR #cameratrap The main highlight was this black bear; deep in thought and contemplating whether this strange clicky box would make a good chew toy... Lucky for me, it decided to keep moving
Well that concludes a summer of learning from an amazing group of scientists, honing my skills in wildlife disease research, and lots and lots of blueberries. Kiitos Finland!
@abigailthiemkey being realistic and and finding windows where I can fit in quick high-intensity/body weight home workouts has been helpful for me. feeling guilty about not having a “perfect” workout every time can be counterproductive to staying active long term with a busy schedule :)
Excited for the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the research being conducted by the @DiseaseEcol team @LammiStation for the next three months as a research assistant on their project investigating the relationship between habitat and wildlife disease #FieldSZN
