I strongly condemn the shameful and inhumane act by Sindh Police of seizing the body of Irfan Laghari from Hyderabad Civil Hospital. This disgraceful incident violates human dignity and shows deep disrespect. Police must immediately return the body to the parents of the deceased.
The sacrifices of Irfan Laghari and Zahid Laghari remind us of the urgent need for justice and accountability. Their bravery in standing up for the rights of Sindh must never be forgotten. It’s time to raise our voices louder with #JusticeForIrfanLaghari and #JusticeForZahidLaghari. Together, we demand that those responsible be held accountable and that the struggle for Sindh’s rights continues with strength and unity.
#SRCF stands firm in this fight for justice and protection of our resources. Let’s stand united for a fair and just future.
Initial reports claim that the police have refused to hand over the body of Irfan Laghari to his family members. The police have alleged that Irfan was a terrorist and said that his body would not be returned to the family. Meanwhile, the police have taken custody of the body and arrested Muhib Azad, a leader of the Sindhian National Congress, along with other political activists.
Moro: The police have set conditions for returning the body of Irfan Laghari and warned the victim's family and local residents not to resist.
However, the family and locals rejected the conditions, telling the police they had gone too far. They demanded that the body be returned to the hospital from where it was snatched away.
Irfan Laghari succumbed to his injuries. On May 20, he led a protest against six canals and corporate farming in Moro, Sindh. Police opened fire on the protesters, resulting in two deaths: Zahid Laghari was killed on the spot, and Irfan Laghari later succumbed to his injuries.
Irfan Laghari who was protesting in Moro against Canals on Indus and Corporate Farming was shot with bullets a few days ago, and he was on vent & passed away today. His corpse has been abducted along with many activists by LEAs in Hyderabad. No To State Terrorism!
I strongly condemn the brutal murder of Irfan Laghari, another peaceful protestor in Moro Sindh. So far in the name of “Green Pakistan” and resource hoarding, 4 children in Waziristan have been martyred, dozens arrested from Gilgit Baltistan and 2 young men martyred in Sindh.
Irfan Laghari has passed away from his injuries. On May 20. he led a protest in Moro, Sindh, against the corporate farming. During the protest.. police fired at the crowd. Zahid Laghari died on the spot and Irfan was badly hurt. He later died from his injuries.
A few days ago, Irfan Laghari, who was injured by a police bullet during a protest in Moro, passed away today at Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
When nationalist activists arrived to receive his body, the police disappeared the body along with several activists.
