$Toby World Lore Land Deeds may look like your regular NFT, but the ERC-6551 standard allows it to:

1) Have its own smart-contract account. It can have a wallet. That wallet can hold ERC-20s, NFTs, ETH, and interact with dApps, while control of that account follows ownership of the parent NFT. The EIP describes token-bound accounts as accounts “bound to ERC-721 tokens” and created through a permissionless registry, without requiring changes to existing ERC-721 contracts.

2) The LORE contract has accountOf(tokenId) and createAccount(tokenId), which means each LORE deed can have a deterministic token-bound account. The contract comments explicitly say this account is derived rather than deployed at mint, and that assets can be sent to the derived account even before the account is created. That turns each LORE NFT into a potential on-chain container.

3) A Lore Land Deed could own assets directly. For example, it could hold SEED, PATIENCE, TOBY, other NFTs, badges, rewards, or future in-world items. If the deed is sold, the buyer may inherit not only the NFT image/deed but also whatever sits inside its token-bound account.

4) It could have progression. A LORE deed might start unrevealed, then later accumulate activations, rewards, traits, SEED balances, yield claims, land upgrades, or participation markers. That makes the NFT stateful over time rather than fixed at mint.

5) It could become an on-chain profile or passport. The deed’s account can become the locus of activity: “this land did X,” “this deed claimed Y,” “this account holds these relics,” “this deed participated in this phase.” That is very different from a collection where all identity lives in the owner wallet.

The use of ERC-6551 means each Lore Land Deed can become a programmable container in a wider economy. In theory, each deed could hold its own SEED, receive distributions, connect to AMM mechanics, accumulate history, and maybe become a semi-autonomous land/account inside Tobyworld.
