In a bid to mitigate the effects of carbon emission in the climate, LAWMA has begun the use of a dual fuel system (Gas & Diesel), for its operational trucks.
LAWMA is collaborating with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, to incorporate waste management in the curriculum of primary schools in the state, as a way of reorienting the younger generation for sustainable environment.

The Alkem Recycling facility receives used PET bottles and converts them to fibres for furniture, upholstery, bedding materials like foam, duvet, pillows, padding materials for clothes etc.
