6007 Sunset Progress: After a challenging few weeks marked by devastating fires, we’re grateful that the Hollywood Hills remained largely untouched. Under clear skies, our team visited the site, standing in the shadow of Emerson College with a perfect view of the Hollywood sign.
Overcast skies at our Sunset project in Silverlake, but the stunning hillside views from the rooftop still shine through. Alpha Construction is framing one of the spiral staircases leading to the roof deck, beautifully illuminated by natural light even on this gloomy day.
The project will rehabilitate the campus, including eight charming bungalows and the iconic Community Church of Palm Springs, preserving its heritage and breathing new life into this treasured landmark.

Lahmon Architects, HRG, and Del Amo Construction made a site visit and toured the island on a gorgeous day, hosted by the Catalina Island Conservancy, in relation to the Eagle’s Nest—a late-1800s structure that served as a hunting lodge and wagon depot until the 1990s.

At 6007 Sunset, the second-floor formwork is nearly complete and ready for the concrete pour, bringing us one step closer to a new view of the Hollywood Sign. Stay tuned as we continue to rise!
Notably, the exterior core tower had to be notched due to a miscalculation by LADWP regarding the height of their new power poles. Stay tuned to see how we adapted to this challenge on the fly!

Alpha Construction continues progress on framing. Some of the more interesting intersections are starting to take shape. Concrete looks better than expected and so RYDA agrees we should expose more of it!

Concrete work for the basement and podium is nearing completion at 3004 Sunset in Silverlake. The construction crew is now framing the wood above the podium and installing steel for the entrance that leads to the courtyard and community room.
