@ABDanielleSmith Dual practice is another death knell in the public health system. And you know it.
South Edmonton should have had a new hospital built by now, but the UCP defunded it.
Albertans are dying due to your "social murder" policies.
How do you sleep at night? On a pillow of cash?
@ABDanielleSmith People are dying Dani. Stop with the nonsense and giving your donors lucrative contracts. You said you weren’t going to do this. We want our universal healthcare system back.
“Robin Hood Reverse Smith”:
Takes from people with disabilities and low income seniors and pays for a referendum and an appeal for her Separatist bosses.
Alberta’s most Corrupt Premier!
@accomplisheddog@doreen_rabi@PfParks@ABDanielleSmith@Lorian_H 23.5 (2) should then clearly say the persons coverage will be backdated and reimbursed but it doesn’t. It’s very ambiguous and any time ambiguity shows itself, it’s never in our benefit
@Lifequeste@doreen_rabi@PfParks@ABDanielleSmith@Lorian_H They will back pay. This has been stated already.
But it’s still a nightmare to have to pay in an emergency, then go to registries and deal with reimbursements (while potentially hospitalized)
@Lifequeste@PfParks@ABDanielleSmith I think the registries are the ones running to the bank here.
@Lorian_H is it even legal to monetize health care number renewal? What if you can't pay & the card lapses? Feels like paying for access to me.
Making Albertans renew their health cards q5years is a registry money grab & a sure fire way to disrupt accesss to care (esp those living with #chronicdisease).
@ABDanielleSmith- please reconsider this if you are sincere in wanting to improve #healthcare access.
@doreen_rabi When we file our taxes we say which province we live in. That should count as our “renewal” AND if @ABDanielleSmith found 500,000 people who shouldn’t have their card still then the problem lays at their inadequate steps
@doreen_rabi My driver's license isn't due to be renewed in 2031 and my current AB Health Card has no expiration. I'm hoping by then the UPC and their policies are just a bad memory.
@doreen_rabi Or, my brother is fighting Cancer. He cant get out to do things, like renewing his license. Even getting him to his medical appointments is a major event. He doesnt drive right now, so renewing his license isnt a priority. But if he doesnt, he loses his healthcare?
Imagine you are a single parent of a child being treated for cancer. You are living at the hopsital to be with them during chemo.
You forget to renew your license & your kid's ID card.
You lose your provincial health benefits.
The layered cruelity of this policy is shocking.
@ABDanielleSmith IF the care is uncomplicated and able to be done without hospital admission such as knee, shoulder, hip or cataract surgery! BUT, God forbid, someone needs hospitalization, has comorbidities, complications, or just needs postoperative care, then we’re SOL! 🤬
@PfParks Medical care is far from just surgery! In the last 27 months I have been hospitalized 7 times. Three times was surgery, 2 serious and one minor. The other times was due to illness.
74% of Calgarians say Alberta should remain part of Canada. 71% support speaking out about the risks separation would create.
Canada isn't perfect. No country is. But our future isn't built by walking away from our challenges. It's built by fixing them, together.
@TheBreakdownAB Very obvious that @ABDanielleSmith is catering to old Wild Rose #Separtists. Not one Independence Petition signature was validated by @ElectionsAB as two Court decisions ruled the petition unconstitutional.
