@JoannaCannon I've read the first two but not the Ishiguro. The film is excellent but it sounds as though I need to read the book.
Can I ask how you keep a record of the books you read?
@JoannaCannon What an amazing tower of books! Not quite as large as my tbr pile! Thank you for doing this.
I’m also awaiting delivery of my pre-ordered copy of your new book. Good luck with the launch events.
@JoannaCannon This is such a good book. Having lived through that time, I know women who had to fight in the courts to gain access to their children. Made me rather emotional.
@JoannaCannon I loved this book. I read it a second time with the Shared Reading group in the library. We read aloud and the structure of this book lent itself perfectly to this. We read one story together each week. A memorable experience!
@JoannaCannon This is new to me, thank you! My tbr pile will be insurmountable soon! Been thinking about books I’ve enjoyed this year and one that stands out is The Art of a Lie by Laura Shepherd-Robinson.
This is where “uppercase” and “lowercase” came from. In the early days of printing, capital letters were kept in the upper compartments of the type case, while the smaller letters were placed below for easier access.
