For my latest at @RecordingAcad, I reunite with @BINI_ph just days before #BINIverseWorldTour in Dubai to celebrate the iconic moments from the past year that led them to where they are now.
Hope you enjoy the read, Blooms! Happy birthday, @bini_maloi! 🌸https://t.co/QkAv5SPR0U
Emman Atienza passed away and suddenly the people in the comments "admired" and "loved" her goofiness when she was bashed so hard after people twisted her words that she had to deactivate her account for a while. Kulit talaga ng mga pinoy eh no pag namamatay biglang mahal nila.
I’m glad this performative event is finally opening the eyes of the masses.
Performative events like this is nothing new in the industry. All just to feel elite. Shame on them.
this is crazy. apparently in 2024, actress “a” showed up at w korea’s breast cancer awareness event but wasn’t allowed on the red carpet because she didn’t wear the sponsor’s stockings (cuz the size didn’t fit)
w korea hosts this “charity” event with luxury brand sponsors. the brands donate money and clothes, and w korea dresses celebrities in those outfits for the photo wall, an exchange for donation.
celebrities attended with no appearance fee, thinking it was for a good cause. they even paid for their own hair, makeup, and styling. meanwhile, w korea got paid by brands, around 30m krw per fashion brand and 5m krw per jewelry brand, collecting about 1 billion krw (about $700k) in one night. but reportedly, the company only donated about 1.1 billion krw total over 20 years, with no clear record of where the money went😬
also w korea staffs asked celebrities to toast with champagne and do inappropriate challenges. they didn’t even allow managers inside. some managers told dispatch that none of that was pre approved and that w just randomly asked idols to do things without notifying them.
