Donald Trump needs to come out and say there are no places for Nazis in the Republican party as Reagan once did. Instead he uses them for numbers and they use him for influencer purposes to try to appeal to MAGAs.
They are such a tiny group of edgy pieces of work and aren't the majority, as many numbers as the socialist Green Party that pretends to be Democrats but go back to the green party when their candidates can't win any primaries lol.
But these camps will ruin both parties. There is no place for fascism or communism in America. Or theocracy, for that matter.
And everyone, ESPECIALLY Trump needs to stop pandering and making opportunistic alliances with those political camps. They are antithetical to the US Constitution which won fairly against both communism and fascism last century and the founding fathers had it with theocracy when they created the first amendment regardless of personal religion.
@SturgePow@keylimemusic@ScottMahring the only problem with that is the debt of unlistenable/unlistened songs went parabolic. AI makes the noise worse. you could say that was the beginning of the end
@SturgePow@keylimemusic@ScottMahring they said the same thing when the fairlight and MIDI sequencers showed up. All of a sudden you didn't have to actually play you could do it in the computer. then cheap digital recording and web hosting came out and all a sudden you didn't need to spend 50k on a record minimum
@N_and_ni@yashmp2004 no, it's just easy to develop on. you have to do all sorts of crazy gymnastics to get build tools to work on Windows. Linux just assumes you're going to probably build something so a lot of distros at least come with gcc
Windows has Linux in it.
I wouldn't switch, unless it was to Mac which has all the benefits of Linux without your system getting hosed constantly for whatever reason.
Don't get me wrong I love Linux and use it regularly but if I'm doing Linux-y stuff I'm definitely just going to use WSL anymore. I ran Arch for a couple of years, but I don't have anything running JUST Linux anymore.
Dependency hell is a real thing and it hosed my box lots.
@keylimemusic@ScottMahring For this to change, music has to become expensive to make/record again which will never happen or you have to start paying people to clear the debt. Spotify tried to do this in the beginning by being exclusive in who they select to be on there, but they opened up the platform.
It has been happing since software was invented, but the remixing will be 10x more intense than what we ever saw with spreadsheets, crypto, p2p services, whatever.
The era of the remix. Remixing various softwares to come up with unique ideas. Same thing happened to music and the rest when everything else was done.
Understanding computers enough to know how things are put together and all the trade offs of all the various ways of doing something. There are a million ways to skin a cat and computers will be faster at some things than others that AI might know, but isn't in the context window
I don't need Fable
Opus 4.8 let me develop tech that if it had enough adoption could totally make record labels and the streaming apps very mad lol.
