Sperm whale
The skeletal remains of a sperm whale that washed up in Ofu, Manu’a in 2015 is now in the National Park of Samoa’s Visitors Center for the public to see.

The Fruit Bat known as the “Pe’a”. The only mammal capable of flying. In the dark they can be frightening, but if you spot one in the daytime you will see that it’s a cute furry animal that loves to eat fruits and naps while hanging upside down and usually comes out at night.

Some new tools are now available to help improve ocean safety and marine resource management in American Samoa! Three Aqualink buoys were recently deployed around Tutuila to provide public data on wind speed/direction, wave height/direction, and temperature at 3 depths.
