@JesterJum Of course the difference is that Obama’s administration deported criminals, and followed the law, while Trump’s administration is not going after violent criminals, they are targeting migrant workers, construction and farm workers, because that’s easier for them to hit quotas.
@WellsJorda89710 These ballots aren’t mysterious or questionable, it always takes large cities with lots of votes to count form lots of polling places longer to get returns in than small rural districts. It happens in red states, too.
@SpeakerJohnson Of course, it was the Republicans who fired the investigators finding and fixing fraud and waste, and slashed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that has been recovering and since then Republicans have led to more fraud and waste than before.
@elonmusk You know perfectly well that Hitler wasn’t a socialist, he was a power mad narcissist who use the label ‘socialist’ as a tactic to subvert and take over the actual socialists. It’s like the the USSR calling itself a Republic.
@DanielDiMartino You think that’s cute, but that’s not democratic socialism, that’s a dictatorship. Democratic socialism is the happiest most successful countries on the planet, with universal healthcare and properly funded education.
@lone_rides Americans on average pay 30% in taxes. The richest 0.1% pay 25%, they structure their income to avoid taxes. At the very least, the richest should pay more than people with less income, since they benefit from our society the most. The courts, military, etc., benefit the richest.
@1st_12151791@davidpattersonx So no more tax breaks for unearned income, tax all increase in wealth as income, no matter how cleverly it is structured.
@Kiehle4Congress@davidpattersonx We all voted to have our government do things, like build and maintain roads and schools, and we voted to pay taxes to pay for those things. Did you expect us to give you all that for free, ignoring the rules we voted to operate under? That IS theft.
@sometrader78@davidpattersonx Income taxes are only 40% of taxes paid, all the other taxes are highly regressive, so in total Americans average paying 30%. The wealthiest 0.1% pay a lower rate (25%) than you probably do, why do they need more tax breaks?
@Tmeyer9@davidpattersonx The richest and corporations pay 25% of the taxes they used to pay, which is why taxes on poor and middle class are so much higher than they used to be. If we returned to the historical tax rates we would be no deficits, they were caused by massive hnfunded tax breaks.
@LeePrevost@davidpattersonx@HouseCracka This is impressively dishonest, income taxes are only about 40% of taxes paid, most taxes are highly regressive. Americans on average pay 30% total tax rate, the wealthiest 0.1% pay 25%, because they can structure much of their income to not be taxed as income.
@JustinWStapley Obama didn’t do anything polarizing. Republicans were determined to oppose him even when he adopted GOP policies and promoted them as bipartisan the GOP opposed their own policies just to oppose Obama. That’s on the GOP, not Obama.
@GadSaad Why would anyone be shocked that there are Moslems in the US, there always have been. One of the US’ first treaties was with Moslems, and the founders all agreed that the US was in no sense a Christian nation. If you don’t know any US history, I guess history is shocking.
@FinDieselNTX@TheAmericanGrl About 11% of US voters don’t have a form of ID required by voter ID laws. Perhaps you don’t know poor voters who don’t own a car or drive?
@atrupar That delay was manufactured by states passing laws forcing mailed in ballots to be counted after in-person ballots. Before, mailed in ballots were counted before Election Day, so they were reported first.
@GuntherEagleman No, they aren’t saying that it’s okay to shoot ICE agents, they are saying that when masked attackers kidnap people illegally, the victims could be justified to defend themselves. Remember all those red states passing ‘stand your ground’ laws?
