@AskAmex booked a room in Italy last week through Amex Travel. Platinum card charged but never got conf. Called help line, no answers after talking with someone 30 mins. Today, hold time is 30+ mins! Now, charge disappears—guess, they cancelled my room without informing me. 🤷‍♀️

@ClaraJeffery Recommend L’Orangerie, which was designed for Monet’s huge water lily canvases, plus a great collection and temp exhibit on the lower level—small, focused, excellent. Also Sainte-Chapelle and Conciergerie next door. Rodin Museum is beautiful now next to Les Invalides.

@ClaraJeffery Not for Eiffel, but recommend the Paris Museum Pass for as many days as you are there. I ended up buying 2 48-hour passes when the first expired—should have bought the four day. Admittance to numerous venues large and small all over the city and skip the line everywhere!

@AskAmex AMEX Platinum promises Hilton Gold membership as a card benefit, but cannot deliver--been asking for a month before I check into @HiltonHotels property tomorrow. AMEX says it's systemic error. They should remove Hilton Gold as a card benefit--it cannot be obtained.

@AskAmex @HiltonHotels On repeated calls, I was told it was "systemic error" and would be taken care of in a few days--that was a month ago. My last conversation was with a "supervisor" who assured me she could get it done. I have emailed and spoken with her a few times. Still nothing.
