What is freedom?
Part 3 (of a 3 part reel)
My favorite story is of a father telling his daughter, “I won’t be able to give you dowry, but I will give you an education that will hold you in good stead.”
In our country, freedom arose as a result of revolt, oppression, and injustice. However, even after 78 years of independence, if we look deep within, certain societal evils are still prevalent, and the country remains fragmented. In a world where we refer to our country as *Maa*, women experience various social injustices.
Real freedom comes from ensuring that all (without exception) are empowered, every voice is heard, every person is respected, the dignity of life is paramount, and every community thrives. At Laksh, we aspire to do just that.
Here’s to the ones who are the nurturers, protectors, and caregivers of society, without whom life itself would be incomplete.

Using the concept of Reuse and Restore, leftover fabrics are woven into dari, mats and handbags. Through this process, Laksh also supports local craftsmen, for whom this work is a source of livelihood.

**Be Wise.**
In rural communities, many menstrual myths persist across generations. However, they have logical roots. For instance, the myth that women shouldn't make or consume pickles during their periods arose because, without modern sanitary pads, menstrual blood could spoil the pickle by introducing fungus. Additionally, pickles’ oil and spices could worsen stomach cramps.
Together with Project Baala, Laksh aims to educate women in a few rural areas of Haryana about these myths and their origins, promoting equality and understanding.
For a brighter future, let's break taboos, fostering an atmosphere of education and equality.

Child abuse shatters innocence, leaving scars that last a lifetime. Are you aware of the different types of child abuse?
It is our collective responsibility to protect our children. Let us start with the first step; learning more about the issue.
At Laksh along with Mudita Foundation, we strive to create a safe space for the children and help them identify the different kinds of child abuse and interventions regarding the same.
Have you witnessed examples of child abuse around you? Write in the comments section below.
Change starts with us. Let's be their voice, their shield, their hope. Together, we can end child abuse and create a world where every child is safe.

Let’s Safeguard Planet Earth from Ecological Disaster!
The Manger Dhouj Lake, where the rhythm of nature once danced freely and painted its masterpiece! Amidst the majestic Aravalli’s, this serene haven nurtured life and lent its waters to the land. Yet, despite legal bans in 2002, 2004, and 2009, its heartbeat has now faltered under the weight of relentless mining underway until 2009, leaving deep wounds on both earth and soul. But amidst the shadows, a beacon of hope glimmers on the horizon. Embark with us on a journey to revive its lost splendor weaving together a tapestry of water conservation efforts and nature education, reigniting the spirit of resilience and renewal. Stay Tuned for Updates.
