२. खुशवंत सिंह का टेनिस खेलना ऐसी बकचोदी भरा तर्क है कि क्या कहें। वो क्या डेविस कप खिलाड़ी थे? या बुढ़ापे में टेनिस की शॉर्ट्स पहन कर टाइम पास करने आते थे?

३. कल्चरल हैरिटेज है ये। सच में? कौन से संस्कृति को योगदान दिए जाने वाले कार्य यहाँ पर हुए हैं?

बात यह है कि हम सब ऐसी एक्सक्लूसिविटी चाहते हैं, अवैध हो तब भी चाहते हैं। हम चाहते हैं कि हमें मंदिर में किसी जान-पहचान के माध्यम से लाइन में न लगना पड़े।

इस पर यदि आप इसलिए प्रसन्न हैं कि सरकार के बगल में ये लोग इतने कम रेंट पर एक ‘व्यवसाय’ चला रहे थे, तब तो उचित है, परंतु यदि आपकी समस्या अमीरों का एक्सक्लूसिव क्लब है, तो उत्तर है: तुम भी कमाओ भाई!

Landmark Changes in ICAI Code of Ethics strengthening the CA profession.

The ICAI has introduced progressive reforms in the Code of Ethics, empowering practicing Chartered Accountants to operate with greater transparency, visibility and modern relevance while safeguarding professional independence.

Key Highlights

CA firms can now conduct educational programs, both physical and virtual, for their own staff and clients, staff of other CA firms and acquaintances.

Online visibility is now permitted on platforms such as GeM, IndiaMART and Upwork, limited to non-audit services.

Podcasts and educational audio content may mention both the member name and the firm name.

Firm websites may disclose network affiliations, Peer Review status and AQMM levels.

Firm event photographs are now permitted on websites and social media platforms.

Client names may be mentioned on websites for all services. Client names and assignments may both be mentioned for non-exclusive services, subject to client consent.

Audit fees must be accepted only through digital modes.

Members are now permitted to engage in transactions in securities, subject to independence requirements.

Non-audit services may be promoted through websites in push mode.

Firm name may be used in write-ups for press, media, films and social media platforms.

AI Consulting Services have been formally included under Management Consultancy Services (MCS).

These reforms reflect ICAI’s commitment to modernising the profession and enabling Chartered Accountants to adapt to digital platforms, emerging technologies and evolving client expectations while upholding the highest ethical standards.

A significant step towards a future-ready CA profession.

Beijing had an AQI reading of 700+ in 2013.

It was called an 'airpocalypse'.

Schools were shut down. Flights were cancelled. Highways were closed. Hospitals overflowed. It was international embarrassment as foreign embassies issued health warnings and called Beijing “unlivable.”

But China didn't have a chalta hai attitude.

$100 billion were set aside and an anti-pollution strategy was put in place.

They banned coal in homes, shut 2500 factories, moved heavy industry out of Beijing.

Phased out old vehicles, limited car ownership, introduced electric buses.

Built ring roads lined with trees, cracked down on construction dust, and invested billions in clean energy.

Beijing's AQI in 2025 hovers between 30 to 50.

From 700 to 50 in 10 years.

It can be done. If China can do it, so can India.

All it requires is a national will and the ability to take tough decisions and execute. Do what needs to be done.

Treat it like a year-long crisis, not a seasonal nuisance.

No amount of development and prosperity is worth it, if our children can't breathe clean air in cities.

It must be priority number 1, priority number 2, and priority number 10.

ICAI held their annual Family Council Meeting in Pahalgam—the site of a heinous terrorist attack. Think about it: People went with their parents, wives, and children to show solidarity.​

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah drove down from Srinagar himself and stayed with them for 3 hours. He clicked photos with children.​

The bigger picture: ICAI started with 1,650 members in 1949. Today, it's the world's largest accounting body. CAs aren't just professionals—they're nation builders.​

APJ Abdul Kalam said: "Indian Chartered Accountants are partners in nation building."​
