[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@iamblueiphy THE GODFATHER!!! I’ll pick the film over the book every time.

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@film_waala It was quite a poor film! His best work is his early Tamil cinema. He had better actors to work with before moving to the Bollywood folk.

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@Navanitavp Watch the film version from the 1950s instead. It’s excellent!!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@TheBorisBecker The current crop of fans both in football and tennis are so limited and irksome! The way they go on and on about VVD (Dutch defender). Hello! Have you heard of Maldini???

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@jaredjct Me too!!!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@MadrasMobile I know right!!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@sazzyLM8 His humility is quite the con! But he is a tremendous footballer, for sure.

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@CinemaTweets1 She really shouldn’t have won that Oscar. In fact EEAAO is a great film. Just no acting awards please!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@chhabs 💔💔

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@mayukh_panja Personally I think this is super annoying! It’s one thing to indulge in a spontaneous celebration in/at an appropriate setting/time. But taking over public spaces? Not OK!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@ChiCityBrian Let’s also not forget he blatantly cheated in a WC qualifier (France vs Ireland in 2009). But he’s not Maradona or Suarez so no one talks about it!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@ChiCityBrian Lalas is definitely not the expert I want to hear from. And Henry is excellent at analyzing the game. But let’s not get carried away & put Henry on a pedestal. He’s not the final word on all things soccer.

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@parthpunter American commentators are poor at best. But their soccer commentary is exceptionally bad!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

Loving Turkey’s resurgence!!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@Real1_balogun He’s an absolute idiot, who should not be allowed close to a mike!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@chhabs Hello! I thought you lived in Delhi/Noida??

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@andresidaho77 This WC was totally rigged!!! And no one will convince me otherwise. 😡

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@FilmLinc @12specialfilms @janusfilms @LincolnCenter @NYAFF @sonyclassics @FilmComment @BAMfilmBrooklyn @AnthologyFilm @MovingImageNYC @Metrograph @MagnoliaPics Sweet music to my ears! 👏👏

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

@larssivertsen For the most part it’s a shit show, Lars!

[Lakshmi @lakshmus]

Can never tire of this masterclass in cinema! I suppose I should point out that the book is a masterpiece too! Thank you to #FilmLinc for the repeat viewing.
