Since Twitter became X, we've slowly started to lose our study & language communities.
I attempt to bring back online study groups for students & a safe space for language learners to practise.
Welcome to:
your little studyroom

@mrsgreenchy Using "Digital Wellbeing" on my phone has helped me a lot in that aspect. I have a 2h timer max on Insta (my main distraction) & once the block goes on. I'm forced to do something else which ends up making me doing unintentionally productive. Sometimes it is the damn phone/socmed
@nubilang @mellosemcor @evalanguages@harostudies That's true, we even have our on personal gc where we chat from time to time. We don't have the same availability as we used to add but we adapt and try to make it work. That's what people do when the friendship is sincere :)
@lifeandlangs@dannaothing You got this!!! I was debating to start a challenge to motivate me getting back into the grind and this one looks really nice, I may do it as well :)

If you learn the language with the sole purpose of finding a partner of a specific race or making yourself on purpose, look & act, as if you were from another race.
a.k.a racial fetishization or transracialism
That's not a good reason.
That's Obsession.
Be careful who you follow & don't tolerate behaviors you won't do irl because it's a moot or part of the community.
#langtwt it's a community like any other. Unfortunately, there would be problematic people or controversial stuff even if you're actively trying to avoid it.
I’ll say C1 in 2. A lot of people reach B1 on multiple languages and get stuck there.
Reaching the advanced stage in a language takes a lot of effort & I'd love to reach that type of fluency on several langs. Also, at that point, you can use them to learn other languages.
I'll focus on 1/2 because it is the most effective way while maintaining 2 or 3 more.
So we could consider that as learning 4/5 languages, but only 1/2 are the main focus & I'm learning them actively while the others I'm maintaining or expanding my knowledge mostly passively.
Although is normal to have an accent in other language,it should be an understandable one.
It's really important to learn the correct pronunciation from the beginning because as you progress & advance it becomes harder to unlearn your bad habits & learn the proper way.
"Made up" languages like esperanto.
I learn languages to communicate with natives and people around the globe, we already have too many beautiful & amazing languages to waste my time with those.
Tricky question as I like a lot...
Korean is definitely on my top favorites regarding sound and writing
Japanese is one of my favorite languages by sound but not as much as regarding writing
Tbh, I don't have a less favorite one they're all different & have their charm.
