🚨 BREAKING: Video shows the moment a woman tried to RUN OVER ICE agents with her vehicle in Minneapolis, resulting in her being SHOT
Tim Walz calling ICE the “GESTAPO” is EXACTLY WHY this stuff happens.
SHAME on Walz and Mayor Frey.
I am happy to announce that we are now seeing patients virtually at Liverright in all fifty states. I am confident that our model will help move liver care away from the focus on transplantation and decompensation to a more preventative approach. https://t.co/qm8wSjElZ4
Akero reported Monday strong results showing its drug efruxifermin reversed liver scarring in patients with cirrhosis caused by a disease known as MASH. https://t.co/SNYsR3SQOB
@melina_manolas While there is use of GLP1s for vanity the bigger issue is access for those who are obese and not diabetic and can't get insurance coverage. More people probably should be on these which -at this point in my career - appear to be the most signficant advance that I have seen.
@dishasharma1994 Whenever this has happened to me and the patient went to TIPS the gradient was extremely high. There maybe gradients where banding is doomed fail. Perhaps as we get more comfortable with EUS liver biopsy with pressures we can identify patients where banding is likely to fail.
@ARedSpartan@hawks50009@SickosCBB I agree. Play to the whistle or don’t complain. Also, the whole “neutral court” was rooting against Fau..the Owls likely got fed up.
For academic physicians to stay in academics after you pass the original training, update CITI training should be listening to a 30 minute podcast twice a year where intelligent people talk about current issues, not 6 hours staring at a computer screen. Same for IRB training.

Proud to have been part of this CME event. A pleasure to spend a rainy morning in New Jersey with colleagues who are devoted to improving the health of patients with liver disease. Thank you for Dr. Pyrsopoulos for arranging the event and asking me to participate.
@BlaneyMD EUS is now our preferred method for liver biopsy, probably 75 percent. 35-60 portal tracts and patients are sedated. Hepatology performed biopsies are soon to be a historical curiosity IMO.
@ebtapper@norahterrault Acute hepatitis panel is the worst panel blood test ever. It excludes the HBV IgG which is critical for patients on immune suppression regimens. Many clinicians don’t understand the significance of a (+) IgG antibody and don’t realize what is being missed by the acute panel.
