Guess I'll skip the Springfield Extravaganza tomorrow and see what scraps I can pick up on Sunday, the weather's going to be terrible for paper. I've been on a Friday and a Saturday, let's see what Sundays are like.
The @IKEAUSA IKEA restaurant in West Chester, OH switched from normal silverware to disposables for everything and it SUCKS. The bamboo tastes weird and the sauces get stuck on all the plates. Also people take the coffee in the store and spill it!
@Will__Stern It has a lot of appeal to a lot of people. It's cute, cool, naughty, nerdy, silly, scary, artistic, competitive. It's an entire parallel world refined to a more polished level than real life.
Strategic mistake on COMC today - I saw some rare weird nonsports cards and immediately bought them for a couple bucks - the seller finished pricing the rest of them and now they're at like $20 ;_; Not meaningful to me but still.
@paulcarldigital "Cards" in general are a generationally durable category, since people love sports and pretty pictures and will forever. "Pokémon cards" are linked to a single franchise which needs active management.
@LavenderEverett No, it's a real life anime otaku event, they have cosplay and informational panels and sell merchandise. It's a local version of an event like Comiket or Comic Con.
