⦿ Nearly two months ago, five Baloch voices of peace were thrown behind bars.
Their only crime?
Daring to speak.
Daring to resist.
Daring to hope for a future where Baloch lives are not expendable.

Mahrang Baloch, Sibgatullah Shahji, Bebagr Baloch, Beebow, and Gulzadi Baloch, leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) were illegally detained by the Pakistani state.
No due process.
No justice.
Only silence, suppression, and steel.

The detention of these leaders is meant to break the spine of Balochistan’s peaceful resistance.

⦿ Since their arrest, every institution: from the local administration to the judiciary, to the media, has served as an accomplice to state brutality.
Torture.
Psychological warfare.
Delays in court.
A full-spectrum assault not just on our leaders, but on dignity and defiance.

The judiciary, the last refuge of the oppressed, has become a tool of punishment.
Instead of upholding justice, it has weaponized time.
Delaying verdicts.
Stalling hearings.
Allowing torture by silence.
Each delay is another day of sanctioned cruelty.

BYC Leaders are not criminals.
They are students, organizers, and Baloch national leaders.
They walked city to city in a historic long march to demand an end to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
Their resistance was peaceful, so the state responded with violence.

⦿ The Pakistani state has always feared Baloch voice for truth.
And so, it arrests the truth-bearers.
Mahrang’s strength, Shahji’s clarity, Beebow’s resilience, Bebagr’s fire, Gulzadi’s courage, they cannot be buried behind bars.

Every delayed verdict.
Every lie broadcast on national media
is a brick in the wall of injustice that Balochistan has long lived behind.

⦿ To human rights organizations:
Will you only speak when it’s safe to speak?
To international media:
Will you only cover genocide once it’s complete?
To the UN:
Where is your voice when Baloch lives are snatched in daylight?

Let the world remember:
Peaceful resistance is not a crime.
Demanding justice is not terrorism.
And detaining hope will never extinguish it.

We will keep marching.
We will keep speaking.
And we will keep struggling against Baloch genocide.

Dear Civil Society Friends and Media,

I am writing with deep concern about my sister, who is under immense psychological pressure in prison. Her health has deteriorated dramatically, and she has been sick for the past three days without access to proper medical care.

Last night, she became severely unwell and experienced repeated vomiting. A doctor was finally called this morning, but the delay in medical attention is unacceptable. I fear that she is being deliberately kept in conditions that are worsening her health, and I am deeply concerned that her food may be contaminated.

This morning, I visited the jail to meet her. My sister iqra wasn’t allowed to meet her. I meet her only for a couple of minutes. She looked extremely weak, sick and fragile.

Beside that, Mahrang has repeatedly complained about surveillance cameras, the lack of proper beds, food, and the violation of her rights as a political prisoner.

Despite these hardships, she remains strong in her spirit. But she is sick and we fear for her life. Internet services were shutdown in Quetta today so that we can’t amplify her voice.

I urge you all to continue raising your voices for her and all detained Baloch prisoners.

After pleading for 3-hours & threatening jail staff that I would go on a hunger strike outside if I wasn’t allowed to meet my sister @MahrangBaloch_ , I was finally permitted to see her but only for a couple of minutes.

My younger sister, Iqra, was not allowed to meet her.

When I met her, Dr. Mahrang looked strong, smiled, and conveyed this message: “Tell my nation to stay strong, continue their peaceful protests and marches for justice.

Urgent Appeal: Immediate Attention Needed

I visited my sister, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, today at Hudda Jail, Quetta, as the Balochistan High Court had directed the jail authorities to allow us regular meetings. However, the jail authorities stopped me for three hours, blatantly violating the High Court's order dated 25.03.2025 passed in CP NO. 358/2025.

Mahrang’s life and health are in serious danger as she is being held among dangerous, hardcore criminals. When she resisted this, she was threatened of solitary confinement.

Surveillance cameras have been installed directly in front of her prison cell and washroom, and she is subjected to constant 24-hour monitoring. She has no privacy, even in personal matters, and has reported that her clothing choices are also being observed.

The food provided is extremely unhygienic, and we fear it is contaminated. As a result, both Mahrang and Beebow have fallen ill. Despite this, they are not being treated. They are also not being treated as political prisoners and are being denied basic rights.

In this tough time, I urgently appeal to the legal fraternity of Quetta and human rights organizations to take immediate action to ensure Dr. Mahrang’s and Beebow’s safety and a fair trial.
