WE DID IT! This morning, Council voted for reasonable rules for off-site Stampede tents.
Stampede succeeds because Calgarians welcome millions of people into our city. That goodwill matters. It belongs to all of us. We want visitors, artists, workers, and businesses to have a great Stampede.
This decision strikes the right balance. Calgary will have a vibrant festival scene while respecting the people who live nearby.
On weeknights, concerts end at midnight, followed by wind-down music until 1 a.m. On weekends, music ends at 2 a.m.
Calgary remains the most permissive major city in North America for outdoor music. We run later than Coachella, Lollapalooza, and other major festivals in North America.
Thousands of Calgarians shared their views. Council listened.
I also really appreciate the outreach from Cowboys management and commit to working with operators who respect Calgarians and their neighbours.
Together, we will put on a safe, successful Stampede that brings people together.
Stampede belongs to all of us. Let’s celebrate it with pride.
42% of Canadians say the country is headed in the right direction, up slightly from earlier this month.
At the same time, the Liberals maintain an 8-point lead nationally, government approval has improved modestly, and leader ratings remain stable.

Charlie Angus blasts NovaRed Mining for its hiring of Kristi Noem: We're sending a message to the monsters that they are not getting their way. They don't get to step down from setting up concentration camps and then just cross the border into Canada and sit on boards of directors and take our resources. No, you get the frick back across the border, and you should be dealing with the courts in your country for what you did. We do not want you.
Barack: You told me all those years ago that you couldn’t promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life. Of course, you outdid yourself and managed to give me both.
Eight years in the crucible, and not once did you melt from the heat. Not once did you let it harden you. Instead, you used it to reveal your truest essence: your stubborn optimism and unflinching courage, your dazzling brilliance and unpretentious decency, your ferocious work ethic and absolutely unshakable moral fiber.

President Biden appeared emotional during the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
After more than a decade of standing beside Barack Obama through victories, crises, and history-making moments, this one clearly meant a lot.
Some friendships leave a legacy of their own.
Check themselves? Seriously? Who the hell does Danielle Smith think she is? More like RCMP needs to check into her on their allegations of TREASON 🇨🇦 more on tonight’s OShow Scandal Panel 🤬
Remember when Pierre Poilievre wouldn't congratulate our Olympians?
Yeah, I'd rather have this guy, who obviously loves Canada, representing Canadians when thanking our World Cup squad for their performance
It's good to have a PM that actually likes the country he governs
